i hope this fight will be close and im sure floyd will run into some hurdles figuring cotto out early with whatever cotto brings to the table.. but unless he ko's floyd inside 4 floyd will adjust on the fly and bring on the dominance...

cottos taken some punishment though so im going to go with an entertaining 12UD for floyd

Cotto has no shot whatsoever. Not enough power to knock Floyd out, Not enough speed to outpunch Floyd, not enough skills and brains to outsmart Floyd.

    Welcome back to reality.

competitive first 3 or 4....shutout after those rounds!

look for an uppercut to hurt Cotto either when Floyd is on the ropes and Cotto opens up or when floyd baits him into in-fighting....Floyd throws some very hard short crisp punches that fighters dont see when they start trying to open up and they hurt...see Oscar fight when he buckled him twice.

In fact he drops Cotto with one of those punches he hit Oscar wit.

As long as Cotto doesn't freeze up and become a spectator, I give him a better chance of winning. Some of Floyd's opponents get too busy anticipating what Floyd is going to do and forget to work their own offence. Floyd's hand speed is way to good to sit back and try to guess/look to strictly counter.

I should add that being able to take shots well and be patient would help. A fighter that is willing to take some damage (which they will) and not get rattled by it. I love the guy but I'm just not sure if Cotto can do this, we'll see. In previous fights when Cotto's been hit with some solid head snapping punches he'd either retreat or get suckered into "fighting" and takes more damage in the exchanges anyway. Cotto really needs to strictly box and not lose patience when he's getting hit (which he will.)

ohhhhh cotto is RECENTLY underrated..... riiiggght.

the cotto that fought pacquiao is actually a bum. but after that he became a very good but underrated champion that beat foreman and margarito.

    :happy:happy:happy

Cotto at 147 was a solid fighter with trainer issues, then got forced to drop two pounds and put his title on the line, and ran his own camp with inexperience trainer..... I mean if thats not a big deal then why not do it again at 150+??????

*******- "oh many found out his limitt against margo and will never fight above 147"

Edit: I'm confused?? You cone off as a *******......meh

If Cotto dealt with Mosley and Judah's "speed," he will be competitive with Floyd and can pull off the win. Floyd did not look so hard to crack against Ortiz recently... That is why he pulled a get out of danger free card with the sucker punch heard round the world. Disgraceful W.

Cotto caves when the going gets rough...

He caved against Marg and Pac and almost caved against Mosley and Clottey... He cannot mentally deal with pressure no matter what shape he is in...he will take a major beating and it would beca accomplishment if he sees the final bell IMO he will get stopped.
