That he can't beat Mayweather with his pressure style?I'm asking because....if we shitting on Mayweather for not taking on Cotto next...then by the same breath we should **** on Cotto for not even making one mention of Mayweather as even a remote option in his next 2-3 fights.Floyd does'ntwant it either.Probably thinking..too much risk for too little reward...But the again,he's the recognised WW champ, and the onus then remains with up-comers..

The deathly silence from the Cotto corner..IMO...about Floyd is an indication that they don't want that fight.Cotto probably knows he can't beat Floyd and is hoping Floyd stays retired forever.Going after DLH???Man please!!I still it was a ***** move by Floyd when he went after him...and Cotto is the pulling the same ****...

Fans want this fight....and these ****ers know it.

Cotto's always silent.. and as it is the camps have traded verbals..

If he fights DLH its because in the long run he wants to fight PBF.. think about it..

I hear you cat...Maybe it's the Larry Merchant syndrome killing me...but this is the next logical fight for either guy...Ok granted, maybe Cotto figures, why not make some good cash first before his bubble bursts by fighting DLH first, then Mayweather...I can understand that. But it's almost as if he's been told not to even mention Mayweather...Floyd at least said something about him after Koing Hatton...You would think the mind games would at least started by now..But nada.

Yea I agree. If Cotto beats ODLH, it makes him 10 times more marketable and will bring the kind of money to the table that Mayweather wants. In the meantime Mayweather can take the extended break he's been wanting.

This sound perfect and everyone gets what they want, Mayweather gets his rest, Cotto fights a big name, everyone makes more money and we get great fights!!!:happy

On that note, can't see anybody beating Mayweather and that is coming from a massive Hatton fan!!!

Yea I do find it funny that nobody is complaining about the possibility of Cotto fighting a supposedly shot Oscar but Floyd got no credit for it. I don't see how you can blame anybody for fighting Oscar when it is guaranteed to be their biggest payday. I'll fight him fresh off the street for 25 million!

you know what i just read an article on espn written up by scoop jackson.... al in all great article and the bottom line is this... floyd wont duck anyone i think the true boxing fans know this . i mean give me a ****ing break with his skill set your telling me he is afraid of miguel cotto who at best resorts to a street brawler when he gets hit a few times ... ok he looked above average against mosley ill give him that. my point is when does this stop does mayweather have to beat down cotto only to be told he needs to fight paul williams or margarito or have a rematch with someone he beat already ..... imo the only fight left at this point that makes sense is the cotto fight because that one will shut everyone up. and who the fuc is paul williams ... he is garbage along with margarito .... sports is getting boring because writers and fans just dont get it .. mayweather will not be beat anytime soon .....:good

Cotto is a perfect Professional. When asked about if he would like to fight Mayweather - he simply said "I don't make the deal for fights - that's Bob Arum's job - my job is to beat whom they put in front of me."

I think Cotto would lose to Mayweather - but as of now - that's the only fight I want to see Mayweather in.

Yeah...maybe I'm just too excited at the prospect of this fight...It would huge.Mayweather must make haste tho'..he's gonna be the wrong side of 30 just now...If he slows down...even the slightest...with these WWs...he's gonna be in shitland.Guys like Williams are still young enough, only just approaching his prime...they'll make him the gate keeper.

    1. I don't care what Floyd is ranked. You think Cotto will beat him so why is he talking about fighting Oscar?

    2. I agree with this point but still don't see how you could knock anyone for fighting Oscar.

    3. I have several hobbies but YOU tell me (with a straight face) that you wouldn't fight Oscar for 25 million.

Cotto is a very different fighter than Hatton. Bigger, stronger, faster and smarter. I look at last Saturdays fight and think that Cotto has a great chance to take Mayweather out, I alays though Mayweather and Cotto would beat Hatton, we know the answer now with Hatton.

Cotto has NEVER called anyone out, he shouldn't start now, he pays people huge money to do that for him and they have been effective so far.

As for DLH, possibly a smart move for Cotto and for mayweather to wait for this fight to materalize. However I cannot see DLH taking this fight, he will lose for sure and he wants to fight a big name that he can beat, brings it back to Hatton, perhaps Hatton can take DLH, but size would work against Hatton. I have never got why DLH is such a big attraction/draw and certainly can not account for it now or as to why Cotto Vs DLH would be a bigger fight than Cotto V's Mayweather, I guess he is a cross over fighter and I don't mean to suggest anything to do with Fishnets.

i never said cotto will beat mayweather i said out of all the fighters he has the best chance, and it does matter where floyd is ranked, if cotto was ranked number 1 in the world i would have been criticizing him for fighting oscar.

Honestly I believe you. I still don't see how you could knock him for a 25 million dollar payday though especially when he was calling Oscar out for years and everyone took it as a joke. Forget best chance for a minute. If they fought in April who would you pick to win between Cotto and Floyd?

yeah bob arum is going to sign a check his man cotto cant cash ... if this fight takes place within the next year its cotto exposed and mayweather beating a guy he is supposed to beat i dont know why people complicate this ****.. right now mayweather beats anyone at welter , now granted father time always catches up to a fighter but mayweather isnt really that old at 30 , he will be 31 in feb and cotto and his team might just be calling him out at the wrong time and maybe cotto at 27 hasnt really been tested enough i mean im sorry people but the mosley fight said nothing if anything its an indication as to what would happen to him if he fights mayweather:yikes
