I'm man enough to admit that I thought Zab and Shane would beat him too. Now I think he beats anybody at 147 except Floyd.
I pretty much agree. I think the style to beat Floys is something like Hopkins' style late in his career - great defense, safety first, getting off first in short exchanges then getting out, and using a hard jab and occasional right hand lead. It would have to be a booooring fight with very few exchanges. The pressure style could work at a stretch, if the pressure guy had endless - and I mean endless - stamina and a granite chin. He would have to walk through flush stots and reply with 4-5 glancing shots.
Cotto is being underrated again, If this fight was so easy Floyd would take it, why wouldn't he, even at 800,000 buys with 60% plus of that going to Floyd, it is huge money for him and easily the biggest fight out there period. Floyd should fight the next two years he plans to take off and then retire on top if he can, not take his two best remaining years off and then try and come back with ring rust and possibly past his best, that just doesn;t make sense.
totally agree druid i think its a money thing for sure i dont think arum wants to deal what mayweather is looking to make on the fight again i feel its a stall tactic to get his man cotto a dlh fight early spring and then a mayweather fight late sept ... im definitely looking to see this fight happen but i think it wont
