The main reason Hatton did not want to come to US and Bob Arum was not going to England.

Putting Hatton in the ring against Margarito? You couldn't do that to Ricky!

Hatton knows ifd he were to box Cotto it would be at Welter, not any weight below that. Cotto is only 5'8, but he quite a thick-set guy for 147lbs. I do not know how he made 140lbs for so long. In hindsight, I don't know how he never moved up sooner than was actually the case?

Whether its at 144lbs, 147lbs, whatever, Cotto would beat Hatton pretty convincingly. Too strong for Ricky imo. Also, I think Miguel is just as good a body puncher as Ricky. Cotto took some pretty big shots from Margarito so I can't see Ricky denting him.

I think Hatton could beat Cotto, at 140 or 147 - clearly more chance at 140.

Ricky has said for years that Cotto could be broken......

Cotto is a bad matchup for Hatton. IMO this would be a easy fight for Cotto especially at 147.

There is no reason why Mayweather and Pacquiao couldn't fight at Wembley.

The British fans would pay good £££ to see it - Hatton's two conquerors facing each other........

Floyd loves money.... surely a fight with 100k spectators would make more than a casino fight with 15k, regardless of site fees etc.

I (and other people!!!) said even before the Margo fight is the key to beating Cotto is to set the pace. He likes to punch a bit, take a walk, have a look, punch again......Hatton would have had an excellent chance of breaking him down at 140, less so at 147.

I was one of the few who predicted that Margarito would stop Cotto - after seeing them both in action (on TV of course)......

Margarito got rid of a much tougher opponent only a round later.... OK Cotto was clowning a bit but still.... five rounds was too long to KO Gomez, who was brave but had nothing.

I think that if Hatton came in at 147 properly (as he did against Floyd) he would stand a great chance against Cotto. If he came in as he did against Collazo he gets his ass whipped, WAY out of shape.
