Exactly, Cotto spoke recently in a P.R. tv program, and he explained that he just want to make sure that the fight with Margarito its hes biggest payday, thats all hes asking for, at least 5 mill, wich was the same quantity for the Mosley fight, I think the fight will happen

That has something to do with the state commissions ... and if it were to take place in NY or NJ then the glove size wouldn't be an issue.

Plus Cotto has the upper hand when it comes to the terms being discussed and Margarito is pretty much down to do whatever.

Unless ... Arum really wants the fight in Vegas ... but it would make more sense for Cotto to fight in PR or NY/NJ area.

Their last fights were just over 2 weeks ago. Floyd fight just over once a year, its ok. If Cotto doesn't sight his next fight in under a month, theres "no reason for it". Yeah, right!

Why wouldn't he get the money he deserves ... he's the bigger draw ...

The fight was negotiated last year and the terms were met by both fighters.

What does Floyd have to do with this?

Last years negotiation was a different fight. These are brand new negotiations.

And the only thing Floyd has to do with this is you giving him a pass on his BS, but trying to ride Cotto for something that hasn't even been proven true yet.

I didn't give Floyd a pass ... Cotto and Margarito are stable mates and are both WW's ... this fight makes sense ...

For two ... two-time champions ... both are on simular levels ... Cotto may have to edge on level of competition but i'm sure that Margarito beats Judah and Mosley if given the chance.

I'm not a huge fan of Margarito ...

Welll i heard in a puerto rican radio station in a interview with Cotto that today his team is arriving in las Vegas, and the fight is not signed becaue his team is not in Las Vegas, and they will discuss the money and other things today so, no need to worry, Cotto says that he want to fight Margarito, and there is no need to turn off the fight.

Arum does want to take the Margo/Cotto fight to Las Vegas to expose Cotto's name on the west coast, and if Cotto does have the upper hand... let him use it and not act like he is having second thoughts about fighting Margarito.

Relax Fitz, Cotto took a little longer to sign the Mosley contract also. Like many have said, it's most likely due to money. I'm sure Arum wants this fight to go down so it will get signed.

Also, it could be a small possiblility that they are going to wait till after this saturday when DLH fights. You never know....What if by some miracle, DLH loses? The fight EVERYONE would and should demand to see would be Cotto vs Floyd.

I doubt that would happen, but hey, it's a possibility.

What is not a possible reason for the signing is what you have stated about Cotto "knowing" he cant beat margarito. Are you serious? Cotto fears no one.
