I agree that Cotto is an underrated boxer, but most are under the preception that Cotto is a brawler ... I think that he's a boxer puncher ... his power is evident, but its more accumulation of punching.

I don't know any WW that has one punch power ...

Thanks for the article "pit" ... it was informal ... and it proved my point ... many were saying it was the other way around, but I thought that it went that way.

Thats not true ... I think that Cotto has more of a shot fighting Floyd ... he can outbox Margarito, but there's no chance of him outboxing Floyd or knocking him out.

Floyd has never been knocked down, hurt or knocked out, so to think that Cotto will be the first to do it is ridiculous.

Cotto will not do something that hasn't been done in 12 yrs ... Cotto is more likely to get knocked out by Floyd than he is by Margarito ... when talking boxing ... raw skills and physical attributes have nothing to do with it ...

Floyd will out think him and out box him ... plain and simple.

Now like I said before ... if Cotto gets him head right and doesn't try to please the crowd and just get the victory then he could out box Margarito to a 12 rd UD ... but its going to take everything he has to withstand Margarito's relentless attack. His stamina, chin, boxing skill, and endurance, will be put to the test and he will have to be on point to do it.

He can get it done ... but everything is stacked against him ... he's the one thats undefeated ... he's the one that has everything to lose ... Margarito has 5 losses which has given him 5 ways to get beat ... its up to Cotto to keep that in mind.

Every fighter doesn't have their own Tarver and to say that is ridiculous ... RJJ got caught up by not taking time off between defeats ... usually fighters give themselves time to regroup after taking devastating defeats. Jones had fought Tarver (twice) and Johnson in the span of 1 year ... there was about 4 months between the two KO's ...

Floyd isn't going to find a guy that going to do that to him ... Roy Jones and Floyd are two different fighters. Floyd is a defensive fighter, who's hard to hit flush ... he doesn't overwhelm fighters with hand speed ... he picks his punches and lands effectively and he makes sure that he doesn't leave himself open for ridiculous shots.

We shall see what Cotto shows up fight night ... i'm hoping for the boxer, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the brawler.

I know that Cotto can make Margarito look like a club fighter, but will he?

Cotto hasn't shown signs of invincibility ... he's been hurt on more than one occassion ... not to say that any fighter is invincible, but you can see what fighters are going to continue their streak and which ones will soon come to an end.

Floyd doesn't stand a chance of losing to a fighter like Cotto, Margarito, Cintron, or any fighter in the WW division.

The boxing community is looking for a savior, looking for a fighter to knock off PBF ... its like that with all great fighters ... its no different from Gerry Cooney v Larry Holmes

Don't be a ****ing idiot...Floyd ducks Cotto and Margo but you say it's because of money not because he's scared of losing...but here the reason Einstein...Cotto wants a little over than 5 million...which compared to the 8 million

Cotto hasn't signed because the fight isn't finalised yet.

There still working out the venue, the latest rumour was the MGM grand - When thats finalised, then the contracts are signed.

Omm yeah it was money that stopped the fight between Cotto-Margo the first time. It was said by both sides. Tony's manager said that they were told by Arum that the offer on the table was the only one that they were going to get and if they didnt like it they could fight Williams. Now Tony didnt make as much to fight williams as was offered for the fight with Cotto, but It was a fight that Tony had to take anyway. His manager said they would go ahead and get the Williams fight done then go after Cotto. He lost then won and here we are.

And dont give me that crap about not giving up the belt or feeling obligated cuz that wasnt it, it was about the money.

could be, :think or maybe he is waiting to see if he can get a piece of ole Goldie himself. Which is a fight that I would love to see anyways. I would love to see any fight that that involves two of the following welterweight.
Floyd, Cotto, Margo, Oscar(jr middle), Clottey, Berto, Mosley. Except Oscar Mosley part 56.
