Cotto hatred

    most of his haters are margarito fanboys...mad that theyre boy is no longer relevant and cotto is making 22 mil for one of the biggest fights of the year.....while margarito is trying to comeback for s****s and nobody cares.....and that cotto outboxed the dog urine out of him for most of their two meetings(as ive said this isn't much of a feat as margarito blows)

    I guess I'm classed as a Margarito fan boy huh ?? lol.
    Actually I am a fight fan I appreciate a FIGHTER!! like Antonio Margarito. I also liked Cotto till he fought Margarito & got his a$$ kicked LEGITIMATELY!!. Sadly he wasn't man enough to take that loss. As soon as the Loaded Gloves BS was started by a liar up jumps Cotto bleating " Margarito cheated against ne too":|:| He wasn't interested in a rematch until he knew Margarito's eye had been permantent damaged by Pacquaio Only then did he agree to it. ROFLMAO Cotto STLL!! couldn't put Margarito away even though Antonio only had one good eye from round two. Margarito started to come on & Cotto visibly wilted & was ready to go to his knees in submission again . Only then did the NY doc stop the fight to save Cotto the embarrassment of QUITTING AGAIN!!
    Margarito is a FIGHTER!!! Cotto is a Prima Donna who likes to dress in pink

    I don't hate Cotto I just think he is very over rated & has the cojones of a gnat.
    Who has he fought of late


    Margarito ..... Had to have the NY doc save Cotto from quitting again!!

    Foreman .... Yuri was literally hopping on one leg Cotto Still couldn't put him away Mercante even stopped Yuri's corner throing the towel in to give him chance to win

    Martinez ..... Sergio's legs were shot Cotto knew it & once again took advantage of an injured opponent

    Geale .... Cotto drained Geale to almost a skeleton

    Then you have his losses !!!

    He's got the best trainer active today but when that bell rings he's on his own Freddie cannot help him I wont be buying the fight that's for sure:patsch

    He literally did all the things on your list.

    Got his titles against injured opposition (both had knee injuries, how lucky/coincidental)

    Scammed GGG out of his 800k when GGG in good faith accepted to step aside.

    Avoided his mandatory .

    Drained his opponent beyond all reason (Gaele)

    Yea, there are reasons he is being mocked. I still have him as one of my fav fighters but I sure as hell am not going to defend his actions, he has gone straight ***** since he dealt with 3 cheaters in a row (may-pac-margarita)

    And I explained why those things aren't so bad/ don't deserve so much hatred.
    Injured opponents - Not his fault they're injured. If they're injured, they shouldn't fight. They're the ones who probably told everyone they're fit to fight. If Cotto is fair game because he has a belt then so were they.

    Scammed GGG - That's a legal issue. It makes sense for him to check whether he has to pay up since he was stripped of the title anyway. If he has to pay, he will pay.

    Avoided mando - To give the people the fight they want and make a load of money. Most would do the same. It's the organization s job to enforce mandos, they should be blamed if anyone.

    Drained Geale - Two grown men agreed upon a fight weight. If Geale shouldn't have been fighting at that weight then that's his fault, he shouldn't have agreed to it. People drain themselves to have a size advantage, can't complain if it works against them. Catch weights are a part of boxing. Many fighters have fought at catch weights and most others would be willing to.

    I'm not saying people have to like him or be his fan. I'm just saying the things he has done which people vilify him for are understandable/not so bad/not deserving of criticism etc. I'm also pointing out that other boxers do the same things (fight at catch weights, try to get any advantage they can, try to maximize their earnings etc) and don't get criticized for it.

    Cotton just straight up conned Bummyluvkin out of 800k and devalued his WBC belt. Of course he's the most hated in this forum. LMFAO

    I'd be mad too if I was a Bummyluvkin fangirl. Look at what happened with Ward when he wanted to fight him. His fangirls became mad, upset and threw a tantrum. They'll hate Cotton for life now after the **** he pulled.. :patsch:rofl

    The courts will decide if he has to pay. Simple as that.

    Catchweights are quite different to PED use. Catchweights are about trying to make a fight more fair by minimizing size advantage. I'm sure GGG would be willing to fight at a catchweight for someone like Mayweather or Chavez Jr.
