That's basically what cotto fans are trying to say.

Not a chance. Pavlik had unusual power.

You seem to be having a hard time with this.

Sergio was clearly hurt by Cotto in the first round, and by his own admission never fully recovered.

That doesn't mean Cotto hits harder necessarily, but was able to hurt Sergio more with a punch than Pavlik was. It is what it is.

I also don't think Glen Johnson hit harder than John Ruiz, James Toney, or most of of Roy's LHW opponents for that matter, but on that night he got through..

That Florida sun has baked your brain Forza, move further north where they throw women who go out clubbing after wrapping their babies in plastic in jail.

It's the actual type of shot as opposed to hitting harder in general

Martinez took pavliks hardest punch on the chin, went down and got back up and kicked his ass.

Wait a minute are you telling me boxing is about styles and punch resistance can be circumstantial? Like when Randal Bailey was hitting Cotto with flush rights and couldnt budge Cotto yet Chop Chop hits Cotto with a half hearted hook to the temple and he's on noddle legs for the rest of the round......GTFO with the logic.

    Yes he did..

But he couldn't recover from Cotto's punch.

    It is what it is.

Are you saying you think Cotto hits harder than Pavlik in his prime?

    No, he didn't.

Pavlik pulled Martinez off balance into an uppercut to the forehead that didn't have any leverage on it.

Pavlik mostly landed jabs on Martinez that caused a great deal of swelling, but hardly the full extended right hands that left Taylor glassy eyed in the corner. Pavlik had a hard time finding Martinez witih clean power shots. The knockdown was legit but was just timing and balance, Martinez wasn't hurt.
