    When asked about the difference in power, Cotto said well: "I did not feel any of his shots an I know my face is much better this time around.."

    Thats too bad. Cotto was hurt and on unsteady legs in the 3rd round by a barrage of Margarito's punches.
    He was feeling those punches, but its likely he's not going to man up about it and hold on to his excuse for getting beatdown by Margarito that first time.


    Did HBO compare the ammount of connects by the fighters from fight one to today's????

    The answer for Cotto not having a disfigured face lies in the difference in the ammount of connects from that fight to today.


    ........and if Cotto did'nt feel Margarito's punches, why was he in full retreat for major portions of the fight.
    A fighter does'nt retreat like that for no reason.

    If you feel a fighters punching power and you have the skills to box on the backfoot, you retreat.
    If Cotto had no respect for Margarito's punching power, he'd have attacked Margarito as he's done so often against other opponents.

    You must have watched the fight on the radio...

    Either that or your just crazy. The one playing macho games and pretending not to feel a thing was Margarito. If anyone got stunned tonight it was Tony.

    difference was 30 punches less from first fight..and NO plaster wraps.

    cotto got his face bruised up but not to the same degree as the first one.

    Are you talking connects or punches thrown.

    There is no way Margarito landed at the % he did in his first fight.

    Less work to the body tonight and because Cotto used a good tactic he took note from Mosley's fight with Margarito and tied up Margs arms up close, because of it Margarito tonight did'nt find a home for his patented uppercuts that tore up Cotto in their first fight.

    Those uppercuts did major damage in that first fight and Margarito did'nt land nearly has many tonight against Cotto.

    Cotto obviously got hit a lot less in this fight, but when he was content to lean on Margarito as he pushed him against the ropes, he ate a fair amount of uppercuts and combinations. He never really seemed bothered by them.

    Amazing how people lie to themselves to sleep better at night. Cotto BEAT THAT ASS with Tony winning only ONE round... the 6th I believe. Round 9 Cotto was having his way with Tony... the doctor saw this and saved his life.
