lol, that's a myth. The ring size was standard. The catchweight was closer to the WW limit than the JrWW limit. The purse split was fair as per each fighter's drawing power.

the terms were fair. If anything the catchweight favored Cotto. Can you imagine the epic beatdown Pac would have put on Cotto if he was a full sized Welter and they fought at 147?

    Stop trying to discredit Pac.

If the FIGHTER, you know, the guy who actually did the fighting, says he felt good, i will take his word for it

You are so God Damn wrong it's unbelievable. I will say that Cotto was not drained and Pacquiao was awesome - this is not to discredit Pac, just to accurately describe the catchweight/title situation.

Team Pacquiao wanted the catchweight to be 142. Cotto refused and said the lowest he can safely come is 145. Team pac was reluctant but eventually agreed. Then Cotto refused to put his belt on the line at a catchweight. Eventually he was forced to put it on the line, but Top Rank agreed to pay the sanctioning fees.

Do some research before you post stupid ****.

It is ridiculous. I agree that Pac's best weight is 140 and Cotto's best weight is 147. But Cotto having to cut down in weight while Pacquiao feasted during training camp does not conclude to Cotto having an advantage. Pacquiao has the ability to fight both at 140 and 147 and the only reason he's better at 140 is because the opponents are smaller and more suceptible to his power. Yes Pac works harder to fill up welter better but he ends up weighing about the same on fight night. Cotto was slightly smaller on fight night which is not something he would have preffered if he had the chance to choose.

Thats just ridiculous, who are you tryning to kid? WHY would he want a catch weight, when if he wanted to he could come in at 145 anyway? :huh Roach wanted Cotto down to 142, Cotto said he couldn't make that and 145 is the lowest he could go without being drained. HE also said the Title wouldn't be on the line unless the fight was at 147. Bob Arum told Cotto he will make it at 145, pay the sanctioning fee and extend his contract by another 2 year's to make the title on the line.

Cotto has no credibility on such matters. He didn't see the pictures of himself the week leading up to the fight. The man has no idea.

Philla Im sorry but Arum was completely on Pac side trying to get everything in Pacs favor. Pac supposively walks around 150 while Cotto is heavier so who is gonna b more affected by the catchweight? Cotto of course. They didnt want want 2 fight Cotto at 147 but know there is talk of Pac fighting Yuri Foreman. Is he gonna make him come down to 150 for his Jr Middleweight belt? Also someone said Cotto challenged Pac and it was the other way around. Pac challenged Cotto after the Joshua Clottey fight.
