Did you not watch the 24/7?? It was Cotto and his friends who were constantly eating and cooking and playing in the swimming pool. The last episode was when he was making them not eat so he could make weight a day or so before the fight. Pacs training regimen for the fight was so intense that even eating 8000 calories a day he didnt even make 145.

    That was before the fight.

This is a month and a half after. What, is Cotto lying now?

Miguel Cotto is a man. He has been very gracious in defeat. I haven't read about him making any excuses anywhere. He didn't say anything about the Margarito loss until it was proven that Margarito is a cheater. Roy Jones should take a page out of the Cotto book on taking a loss.

Cotto is perhaps the most humble and throwback fighter with no excuses... Marriage problems, camp problems, family problems, lawsuits, and still takes the loses. Not only Roy Jones, but others like the Hopkins and Toneys and many more of these fighters should learn from Cotto. Im just shock at times when many dislike Cotto. The guy fought almost the whole 140 and 147 division. He would be miss even by his non-fans.

Totally agree with you. Out of all the politics and bickering that left us without a number of fantastic fights at those weights, Miguel was and is reliable- you knew you'd be getting a class fighter who'd take the fights with no bull**** attached, and give due credit to his opponents win or lose. A real asset to the sport.

Cotto looked fantastic that night. I just wish he could have held up better. Would have been an AT pairing, instead of simply an AT performance by the great Manny Pacquiao.

This is such a silly response. Of course I saw 24/7. The question should be if you know 24/7 is a strongly edited show designed to generate interest in the fight? What you see in 4 episodoes could easily be something that happened everyday or twice in three months. Miguel and his crew were obviously trying to project a certain image in the show and the pool and "pinchos" were part of that. Miguel had a tougher diet in order for him to come in at 145 and with a hefty penalty for every pound over that was something highly monitored. Pacquiao was eating more to push his body to the limit while eating in abundance, Miguel was pushing his own body to the limits with a far more limited diet and trying to lose weight. Think about the situation well and tell me if you really thinks it´s easier to train on a diet designed to lose weight or one to maintain weight.

    Now I'm crying for Cotto...:rofl

Lower catchweights are not for bigger fighters. That's all I'm saying. Pay closer attention next time so you don't look like what the **** you are, dumbass.

JMP knows Cotto more than Cotto knows Cotto! Mods, is there an ESB award we can give to this guy? Gift certificate to Denny's maybe?

Only a fkn moronic biased ******* would try discredit the Cotto win by claiming 145 drained him... Pac won because he was too fast for Cotto, simple.

All this nonsense has to stop, its embarrassing.

Cotto was good at the weight, unlike DLH.

Dont even go there with the DLH situation, he put in the worst shift in his entire career vs Pac, the reason was because of the weight.

Pac performed brilliantly but Oscar was a disgrace even more so.

    :huh

He`s had 1 fkn fight at the weight vs Hatton, all your doing is getting ready made excuses for when he loses to Mayweather at 147 (as you know he will), I can read you a mile away.
