Cotto: "I get more money against Margarito than Martinez"

Yes and Cotto is putting money first. Yet other fighters who do this get accused of ducking.

Cotto, on the other hand, gets forgiven for this same act.

 

The difference between Floyd and Cotto is that Cotto has never claimed to be the greatest fighter of all time. Floyd has repeated made the statement. There is little doubt that Cotto would not fair well against Martinez. Floyd may have a great chance against Martinez, unfortunately there is a percieved risk on his part, because of Martinez recent wins and media build up. Claiiming to be the greatest of all time, Floyd should be jumping at the opportunity to fight Martinez and Pacquiao. Ala Hagler, Leonard, Duran, Ali, Frazier, Marquez, Morales, Barerra, Arquello, and so on.

 

Pac wont take the test, so what can he do?

And both he and Martinez have fights scheduled within the next 2 months. He cant negotiate with them while these fights are in play.

 

But he can still say he fought the top man in his time. Floyd can't.

 

And I bet he either 1. Anounce a fight before either of them fight, or 2. Go on vacation.

 

He ducked Paul for years, because he wasn't an Arum fighter, and he knew the style wasn't right...


And before anyone says Paul didn't deserve a shot... How did Joshua Clottey deserve a shot over Paul?

Cotto is gonna get beat anyway both Margarito & Martinez beat him. As for Punk Mayweather he wouldnt fight Margarito or Martinez let alone Paquaio. Not even if they had one arm & one leg in a sling ROFL

 

Martinez would destroy Cotto and barely break a sweat. Margo is washed up and hasn't beaten a ranked opponent in close to 4 years. You do the math.

**** Cotto. Even if he were to lose against Martinez, his credibility would still be high, and he will have no trouble attracting big name fighters because people would see him to be vulnerable

Cotto's legacy hunting days are over, he wants the cash money

 

Winner should fight Martinez, then there's no problems. Besides, I actually rather watch this fight. There's history between them, and I'd like to see Cotto get revenge.
