News in PR reported that Miguel feels this way... That he put on a great performance and that he twitted this remarks. Www.endi.com for those who can read Spanish.

I bet anyone that Cotto is going to ask for a rematch...

Cotto was letting the crowd get to him. He fought hard but he didn't even come close to winning the fight and was lucky that Floyd didn't try to finish him in the 12th. Its similar to the de la hoya fight. When the crowd screams at everything you do, it makes you feel like you are accomplishing more than you really are. DLH, felt like he was competitive immediately after the fight, but since then he's accepted that Mayweather was better and beat him.

When I watched the fight the first time last night I thought it was close but Floyd still won, but after watching it again before going to sleep Floyd dominated...Cotto did better than 42 previous but he was still a victim and if a rematch were to happen Floyd would box him way more.

It was close, hard-fought fight with all of the rounds being competitive, but Mayeather pulled away on the scorecards no doubt. Sorry Cotto. But I don't think you won. Well done, though. You proved a lot of people (including me!) very wrong.

I knew this was going to be a touch fight. Cotto brought the pressure, and pain. He fought a very good and determined fight.

I can see how he could think that if he thought all the close rounds were his. Some rounds that he lost he'd started off well, only for Mayweather to take it with the cleaner blows following it. When he watches it back he'll see he clearly lost and where he went wrong in those rounds he lost that he did have a chance to win

Floyd himself said Cotto was his toughest. But I guess I'll believe you instead. :-(

I agree with the guy above who said his toughest fight was Castillo, maybe Augustus after that, but all Cotto brought was a jab and borderline reckless ineffective aggression.
