I think you think Canelo changed his name to Floyd son... There was NO as whoopin last night. Cotto was in his ass for 12 rounds and DEFINITELY was a closer fight than the whores at HBO would have your young impressionable ass think.

It is CLEAR they are NOT trying to derail the BIG MONEY fight:

    Manny VS Floyd.

HBO whores...Listen to the bias commentary: "OMG!!! Floyd landed a gay jab to Miguel's stomach!!!" :hi:

I am going to go with Floyd in this one: Cotto.

Floyd looked puzzled and tempted to scream out for Uncle Roger when Cotto had him in the corner taggin his ribs.

The look on Floyd's face in the corner between rounds speaks volumes.

CONFUSED... and concerned. Cotto's jab had Floyd looking amateur and embarrassed at times. SNUFF!

And Floyd doesnt have 3 should be 4-5 losses lol.

Floyd took Cottos best and smiled. Then beat him up. Pissing blood vs bloody nose.

Cotto did not win. He had a chance to really put thre pressure on the 9th but did not seized the moment.

Sorry to say but it's just his pride talking or probably just wants another big payday.

Read a few rbr accounts today in papers that thought Cotto won. Didn't think so myself, but I do believe it was closer than the official score.

he did real well. probably better than anyone has, better than even he thought he would- so much that he felt he won- cos he exceeded his own expectations and everyones.

in a way that is a win.

    just not in reality though.

You Floyd fans are overselling your man badly. He won the fight clearly, but he didn't beat anyone up. It just didn't happen.

Conversely, maybe the inside work Floyd did to Cotto's body prevented Miguel from being strong in the championship rounds.

    Funny thing about interpretation...

yes by round 9 there were no more smiles but confuse he did say at the press that he was surprise cause it would look like cotto was fading but then would come back strong

Some could argue that Floyds not undefeated and his opposition isn't up to par with other greats' resume in the sport. Floyd did good....but I thought Cotto wasn't going 12?

I got tired of listening to Bob Sheridan commenting bull**** like "And look at that ripping shot from floyd followed up by his right! What an amazing combination" And it was clear as day that the shots landed on Cotto's gloves.

Then Cotto rips floyd to the body and landed his shots while floyd is trapped in the ropes. bob sheridan goes "Cotto is just unable to land anything"

i ve watched the fight 3 times- and the most i could possibly give cotto would be 4 rounds. a couple of clear ones- i ve forgotten- i think it was the 8th and the 6th. maybe the 3rd and one more. but the rest were clearly floyd.

the big thing he didnt do was get out of the way of the right hook. had he slipped em, stepped back, or ducked em, his body shots and jabs would ve been enough to win many rounds. but those heavy rights were decisive and definitive. they mightnt have hurt cotto much early- but theyre 3 pointers in terms of scoring. clean, effective punching- which is what scoring is about.

I really like cottos performance though- he did as much as he could, fought real bravely- made the most out of what he had. cant do much more than that. its like james harden losing one on one against lebron by 4 points in a game of 21.

in a way i think cotto gains more confidence from this fight than floyd does by winning. no that floyd did badly- it was the best fight i d seen him in- he dug deep and pulled it out- and showed grit. But cotto proved he was right there with the very best- and deserves to be a top 10 p4p guy still. floyd proved he was still floyd- and even tougher.
