over at the scene he says he started training already in pr with diaz and after the tour he will move to fl and train. he said he has not stopped running or being in the gym since the margarito fight and is under 170 lbs. he understands this is the biggest fight of his career and will be in the best condition ever vs floyd.

good to see he is motivated and taking things seriously, also good to see he never stopped running or being in the gym since the margarito fight because he usually does stop and gets a belly

I dont get why you would ever go to 170+ when you fight at 154, you shouldnt be more than 160/165, preferably lower

Cotto will not come to lay down, so I respect that.

Cotto always comes to fight. Hopefully he can pull off the upset in May.

To be fair, he nearly always seems to be in great shape in his fights.

He takes the physical preparation seriously.

i hope with pedro diaz now in his corner he can work on his speed and foot work, an actual game plan.

That's great to hear that he stayed in shape after the Margarito fight. You would think with the holidays, he'd let himself indulge a bit. I bet he decided to stay in shape since the two parties had conversations about business at the WBC convention. Cotto knew he was gonna be named as Floyd's May 5th opponent since then IMO.
