I would like to see this fight at 147lbs...With Cotto's title on the line, there's a chance for pac to make history...and I think Pac could beat cotto..And if they fight on a catchweight, Pac's win will be discredited again since cotto could be weight drained..

Well . . . it's gonna much better deal for Pac.

This is anybody's game if it's gonna happen on a catch weight. :D

Say it aint so Miguel. You are one of my favorite fighters to watch and you going down in weight would mean trouble. You will be stopped. At this stage in your career, when you have more room to grow and improve, I dont want to see you ruined.

    Wow...

So many boxing fans here think that Manny's gonna "mow down" Cotto and Pac "bashes his brains out"?

I'm a fan of Pac, but the thought of a Cotto-Pac matchup right now gives me the willies.
Cotto doesnt have a granite chin, but it's OK enough. And he punches like he wants to kill you.

Same as the Pac-DLH and the Pac-Hatton match up. It made me feel kinda sick in the stomach, the first time I heard they set those fights up.

Cotto's a pretty strong, thick, stocky guy, and naturally bigger than Manny.

    I dunno about "mowing down"..

I'd still be rooting for Pac, though, if this fight happens.

I can already smell the "weight drained" excuse.

Im sorry to say this, but it has been well documented in the countdown to cotto-margarito of cotto's struggles below 147.

The lowest I would advice Cotto to go is 145. But making the fight at 147 for the title if Cotto gets by Clottey sounds better for Manny's legacy and Cotto's chances to be at his best.

If Cotto says he will fight at a catch weight, good luck to him. Taking a fight like this in his prime is well worth it. We won't see PAc fight guys like Bradley, so why not Cotto. If Floyd beats Marquez, Pac won't be able to avoid a fight with Floyd because the public will demand that fight. Arum wants to try to cut Floyd out of the picture, but he won't be able to if Floyd wins.

1st he whoops Clottey, then he whoops Pacman, then it's gonna be Floyd.....

and a new P4P King will be born!

Then after that, either one of two things happens:

    (1) You wake up out of your wet dream

    or

    (2) He then grows the nuts to get in the ring with PW and gets MURDERED!

you have a point, the stakes would be much higher at 147, but at the same time, i think it would be much smarter for Manny to fight him at 143, i'd have in favor beating Cotto there...but i cant see him beating Cotto at 147, but **** this IS Pacman, so who knows?
