"We had more than one reason for deciding to pick the Mayweather fight instead of the Pacquiao fight, you know. I received better treatment in Mayweather negotiations. We decided to go with Mayweather.

Everything happens in life for a reason, you know. The fight didn't happen 4 or 5, 6 years ago, but it happens now, you know? I feel better right now after Margarito's fight on December 3rd, I feel much better with myself. I think this is the moment, my moment for the fight.

I had everything, I think from Margarito's victory, things stole from me; things he grabbed from myself, you know, and I have it back. I feel much better right now."

Better treatment = I got offerred a bigger share of the revenue and no Bob Arum trying acting like a dual agent while really looking out for Manny.

I like that second paragraph and last line. He sounds rejuvenated.

Yeah, and Mayweather agreed to fight him at his best weight.

Better treatment = a fight at his weight, not another catchweight demand to give Manny the upperhand yet again.

i disagree...you learn a lot from loses....gain more experience and just happened to find Diaz as trainer who i think is much better than Evangelista as far as strategy and conditioning.

The fact that the catchweight was negotiated by Arum, who was also Cotto's agent. It's one thing to be a dual agent, another to blatantly play favorites for one side.

I have a real estate license and can legally both sell your home and represent the buyer as long as both sides are aware of the situation. However, if I tell you a lowball offer from my buyer is a good deal just to get paid, I am a piece of **** and you won't ever work with me again.

Miguel Cotto also claims he's in his prime now, that he feels better and faster than ever before. For someone who doesn't really talk much I think that speaks volumes. The main thing to see if he's really as good as a "prime" Cotto is to see how he reacts to punches/punishement. We know before he would still try and walk through you for the most part. But if in the scenario that he starts getting tagged and countered with shots he doesn't see coming and he starts backing out like in the Pacquiao fight the statement will probably not stand amongst most fans.
