Miguel Cotto is an excellent example of modern day boxing gladiator. I think the 2 fights with the 2 cheaters really derailed his career. I believe that he and Mayweather were supposed to fight when Miguel Cotto had defeated everyone in his path and there's no where else to go but to a meeting with Mayweather. Margarito did him dirty and Pacquiao did him even dirtier. Bob Arum just let these things happen to Cotto to prevent him from leaving before. He was sensing something in Miguel Cotto and he tried to keep him around by offering him a Pacquiao fight but little did Cotto know, Bob set him up. Cotto may feel as if he has his groove back but everytime he fought at the MGM Grand, he lost. He was TKO'd. This time will be no different. I think Floyd smells blood and he's going for the kill. He's being nice and treating him fair in negs only because he smells blood. What happened with the 8 Oz. gloves situation???

it's better for Cotto's physical health if he fights Mayweather rather than Pac

He might have listened to the interview where Cotto says: "I wont sacrifice my body against Pac again. He had no problems with Margarito."

    Boxers are just human.

I recently put on the cotto vs PAC fight and noticed cottons lack of confidence after being dropped for this first time on the fight. It's quite clear cotto is the more technically sound fighter and he was boxing well vs PAC until he lost his mental fortitude and decided to just survive a healthy confident and focused cotto can surely give PAC a run for his money. I can't help but feel this cotto vs PAC at 154 would have an excellent chance at defeating pacman. In my opinion cotto the fighter that was left out of the big three of the last 5 years. It's PAC Floyd and at a distant third cotto... Speaking of fighters within the 147 to 154 lbs weight classes....with the exception of Sergio, Paul and others

What? Come on, I like Floyd and favor him to win but this is unrealistic.

    Comparing Floyd with Margarito? :nut

It's quite amusing to see the 180 here on the admiration of Cotto from a specific fan base since he signed to fight Floyd.

And, yes, I am aware that many including me said previously that Cotto was shot/declining and we have been over that numerous times in recent weeks, so please spare me.

Hey chico, that a side had something to do with it too. Cotto wouldve whipped his ass in a fair fight.
