Mayweather does the same thing at 154.

This is the only recorded fight night weight of Cotto's I know of

    Contested at light welterweight

    Miguel Cotto: 157 - DeMarcus Corley: 140

To make it fair? Ok if you're not a middleweight then weigh in under 160 all you want, just make it "fair" on the actual middleweight by allowing the "fair" limit.

I think catchweights in situations like this are comical. Geale will probably weigh somewhere around what he normally does on fight night but will obviously have go through leaps and bounds to do so. The catchweight here isn't to make it fair but to remove the good chance Geale already had to a very small chance via zombification.

Cotto is such a joke just drop the belt. :rofl

A catchweight doesn't make the fight fair anyway what a stupid statement.

Miguel Cotto: "I will not drain myself for any fighter ever"

Goes on a drains Margarito, Martinez and now Geale.

He has a point but catchweights are bad plain and simple

should vacate if he feels that way

Maybe Martinez should have said before their fight 'I have no knees, so someone must shoot a bullet into Cotto's right knee, I just want to make the fight fair'.

    Cotto is a ****ing joke

I hope gets sparked out by Geale

not happening ofc, Geale has pillow fists and Cotto will most likely win a decission via robbery even if he gets shut out
