he's said it a couple of times already in a few interviews, saying that he isn't a faded dlh or an overrated hatton.

He would propably feel more sucure about himself if he didnt recieve that gift against Clottey. If he had rightfully lost that fight , he could have the oppurtunity to want to reddem himslf. To fight harder and work harder to get back to the top.

Now he is at the top but is still wearing that beating from Clottey.

Its got nothing to do with Clottey, he changed from the moment he lost to Margarito. I mean who wouldnt have, he lost his unbeaten record and later found out about what Margo did.

He is human, give him a break.

Cotto is just telling it like it is. Hatton got KTFO cold at 140 by a guy coming up in weight. He was past his prime and can be classified as overrated given his huge one-eyed supporters.

Technically, Pac was coming down in weight for that fight. Not only that, Hatton was a healthy underdog against Pac. Cotto was about a 2/1 favorite against Margo and was battered and beat into submission. Losing when you're expected to win is a more sure sign of being overrated than losing when you're expected to lose.

Are people really mad at Cotto for saying what the rest of the world had already said ?

And he made refrence to Manny's last two opponents ..Would we be all up in arms if he had said that about anyone else ?

Im cool with what he said because he's neither of those guys at this stage !

I hope Pac does the same to Cotto as he did to Hatton. Then Cotto will be sorry he ever opened his mouth about Hatton.

How was Hatton overrated ? He was simply a dominant fighter at 140 with a huge fan base, that's all ! No one ever said Hatton was on par with Sugar Ray, Duran, Hopkins, Mayweather, etc...
