Cottos being honest. hatton is overrated. Cotto is way beyond Hattons skillset.

I think the Kostya Tsyzu Hatton beat would KO Cotto of the 140. At 140, Id say Hatton was physically stronger than the weight drained Cotto..Cotto is better at 147 because he is the bigger man. Cotto has the better combinations, hatton has the faster foot speed.

Cotto's resume is above Hatton's for sure and Cotto displays a better set of tools in the ring than Hatton does.

The only department where Cotto is not above is defensively as we could make a case that both are on equal levels there and get hit way too easily...

dangerousity: nice assessment and I agree for the most part. my only issue is with the

as I saw Hatton/Malignaggi being a VERY one sided fight where Paulie was lucky to win a round, if that. And didn't last the distance, as the fight was an 11th round TKO.

where Cotto/Malignaggi .. Malig at least made it the distance, and

. granted Cotto was a bit weight drained vs Paulie and it was Miguel's last fight at 140, but Paulie was at least semi competitive vs Cotto

you couldn't say the same about Hatton-Malignaggi, that was an embarassment

    as for the other

, Lazcano was coming off over a year of inactivity but point agreed, yes he got hurt/buzzed but it is boxing, a contact sport and that's bound to happen.

and regarding the whole Hatton vs Pound For Pound #1's. Respectively fights are looked at

    #1. Did you win/lose

#2. how was that ^ accomplished

(and I am taking different examples but keep the above 2 points in mind)

as Clottey can get less **** for losing a SD vs Cotto.

but Hatton/Pacquiao is looked at differently, because regardless of it being a tougher fight, Ricky was waxed.

Yea Hatton did win more rounds but IMO, Cotto damaged Mallignagi more.

Lazcano was coming off a long break, but Larios who also rocked Pac pretty good was jumping up 2 divisions and coming off a devastating KO loss to Vasquez. Anything can happen.

Cotto is overrated, that's what's funny. Aside from the Mosley performance he has never been especially impressive. The dude struggled against Malignaggi and Lovemore N'Dou. Took him many rounds and big shots for his "devastating" power to get rid of Zab Judah, when it took Tszyu one punch

I wonder what type of new tattoo he'll get if Pac kicks his ass

well hard to argue against that as Cotto did break an orbital bone .. so if we're going on damage .. Cotto would win that argument

yeah boxing is very unpredictable, one punch can end a fight, and worst case

you can always just say "I got caught" like Chuck Liddell says in his post fight arguments

it goes without saying H2H hatton beats him at 140 - 145 pounds after that point hatton becomes too small to beat the bigger cotto

I'm the same way....I rate Cotto a tad higher only b/c of his "W" over Shane, but before the shane win I had Hatton higher based on his win over KT.

The first time i heard Cotto talk about Hatton this way was before the Gomez fight...he said, "I think Hatton is overrated."
