Race has nothing to do with this. One second hes a warrior for fighting everyone out there and now he's being called a coward. I'm rican and could really care less about Cotto as Im not really a big fan of his. Being rican means nothing or doesnt mean you have more heart or less heart than anyone. Oscar quit on his stool which is typically not a mexican thing or mexican american thing. Zab Judah has unofficially quit numerous times but that doesnt mean that blacks have no heart. None of us are in his position.

Cement and plaster are too different things, do you have any idea how 1 low blow by professional punchers can change the course of a fight.;)

That's true, BUT doesn't mean there more P.R.' s then Mexicans. A lot of the Mexicans here are immigrants and can't afford to go see the fight live but I'm sure many of them will show up to support Margarito in the the on going Boxing war between P.R. and Mexico. I'm from Sunset Park Brooklyn which is dominated by Latino's n trust me It's pretty evened out.

Cement, Plaster or whatever it was..

LOL! We are talking about 'potentially' changing the course of a fight and 'potentially' change the course of someone's life! :patsch

I'm not sure who is saying there is more Ricans than Mexicans?

There are many places with a large Mexican population, L.A for instance but not many with a large P.R population. I really think that is the key here.

hes an avid body puncher, low blows happen. the guy in your avatar can tell you that.

also this fight is partly sponsored by COTTO PROMOTIONS. So id say he has a bit more interest in where the fight happens than would most fighters.

I don't blame Cotto. For years he was so resentful towards Margarito that he maintained that there would be no rematch because he refused to allow Margs to make any money off of him. Considering that in his mind he probably feels that the mere fight is a concession in itself, surrendering the "home court advantage" seems like a lot to ask him of.

i dont get it. so whats the puerto rican race? dont say spanish or hispanic.

whats an african americans race? black?

    whats an irishmans race? white?

so does that make the puerto rican race brown?

    A few things...

Firstly, as a boxing fan, this sucks and hopefully the docs license Margarito if they really do believe that he is fit to fight. Somehow I believe that they will decide not to grant the license though. I personally think his eye is ****ed and he should not be fighting but I am still planning on shelling out for the PPV.

Secondly, Pepsi Center in Denver is elevated by over a mile. Margo has been training at a high altitute and Cotto hasn't. Considering the very few big fights in Colorado, logically, it appears that Arum/Top Rank continue to support Margo and are trying to give him a small advantage with this prospective venue. Shameful and, for that, Cotto should tell them to **** themselves.

Thirdly, I'm sure Arum will give Cotto a couple of extra million to make the fight happen (even if Top Rank takes a loss for the event) to save face and they will end up fighting in Mississippi or something.

    Lastly, War Cotto(e)

No one said it. I'm just saying Margarito will have a huge following here as well. The crowd can't fight for you so it shouldn't matter where they fight.
