I'll bet Manny packs more of a whallope in his punch than Cotto does. He's just talking out his ass to help keep his own confidence up.

 

A lot of folks think Manny is gonna run right through Cotto, but based on Cotto performances, I know that Manny will have his hands full. I don't think Manny speed is gonna be that much of a factor if Cotto takes him in the later rds. Cotto has shown that he can hang with speed fighters, such as Judah who gave Mayweather a bit of a problem with his speed, and Mosley. Who many thought would be to fast for Cotto.

How is he prepared for Manny's speed, when he never has fought anybody as fast as Pac? Pac is gonna neutralize Cotto's power with movement and pick him apart with fast combinations.

Manny's been sparring a middleweight. Why should he be worried about Cotto's power.

Boys everyone knows Cotto's got too much power for Pac to last 12 rounds. I mean **** the only guys that could stay in the fight when Cotto is landing are natural Jr. Middleweights like Mosely, Clottey and margarito. So this is a mute point.

The only thing this fight comes down to is whether Cotto can handle Pac's speed cause if he can the rest is academic. If he can't again the rest is academic.



This fight is the essence of kill or be killed. Lets all enjoy!

Actually I would be a Cotto fan that doesn't perscribe to this. Erik Morales beat him with no excuses. And Marquez fought him straight up with no excuses. Manny (same as Cotto) has glairing weakness. They are there to be exploited by superior boxers. Cotto can be a very good boxer. If he can nuetralize Manny's speed then its an interesting fight. Manny is tough as nails and his physical conditioning is second to none. He was essentailly as strong as Hatton when they fough. The great illusion is to think that he's the smaller weaker fighter.


However, It could very well be that Cotto turns out to be too big for manny. But Manny's not going lose cause Cotto can lean on him and throw him around for 12 rounds. That is not what I'm hoping for and its not going to do Cotto much good if he can't handle everything else manny brings to the table. His best chance of beating Manny is by doing the only thing thats proven effect --> to out box him.


Oh and if on night of the fight the size difference is clearly too much for Pac then sure I'll say it was a majour factor in the win. Cause honestly no one should be suprised that a good big man beats a good little man. What I'll be most happy about is that Miguel cotto is a good enough big man to make this happen, which given how GOOD pac is would be a significant accomplishment.

P.s. If PAC does win I'd be gutted but I'd almost prefer to see him utterly annihilate Cotto. Cause I know Mayweather would **** his pants and retire for good.
