Just Re-Watched Cotto vs Margarito, and it's even better the second time around. what a great fight these guys gave us.
I have a question's though concerning any rematch.

In the first part of this fight he looked like he was further improving his great boxing skills and his defense as he has in all of his fight's he looks better and better on every outing.

However he walked into the relentless, ruthless, tough punching, machine that is Antonio Margarito.

My first question is: what does Cotto have to do to beat this guy?

My second Question is: Can Cotto beat this guy?

And my final question is: Has Margarito broken Cotto's heart, and will he ever come back from this devastating defeat?

Cotto must box the way he did for the first half and somehow hold up. Don't fade and try not to get as much or cleanly.

Cotto won't win the rematch and will lose even quicker. The fight reminded me of Trinidad/Vargas and Cotto lost in a ugly way. He got the fight beat outta him and wanted no more. I don't think he'll be able to absorb as much punishment as he did in the first fight.

I don't think Cotto's spirit is broken but a rematch and a similar loss will do so. Cotto can comeback and be success and possibly win another title but he won't ever be able to beat Margarito. He couldn't the first time and his tolerance for abuse has dropped. Another rough fight with Margarito or someone similar will bring this to light.

Stay off the ropes, use the jab more, don't bend straight down in front of margarito and eat 3 straight uppercuts , don't eat so many body shots ..

He really needs to do a lot to win... he is capable of doing it, but he was so drained toward the end of the fight... he needs to be able to match Margarito's workrate.. Early in the fight (second round) I believe he tried to brawl with Margo and ended up breaking his nose... a broken nose on top of taking many hard body shots early in the fight , on top of having to constantly run gassed him completely. Cotto can win, but he needs to fight the fight of his life.

I await the Jennings matchup before making any statements...

    But you could be right...

Or Cotto might be similar to Vasquez :hey:good...

Hopefully he pulls out with the W in the next one so we can have ourselves a GREAT rubbermatch :happy
