looks like a big year for cotto in 2011, depending on the date for margarito cotto rematch hbo might push for a cotto fight before the rematch,and the winner is in line to face sergio in the fall for the middleweight title,should cotto win these fights ill be a happy man
Cotto is a true fighter. I wish him the best. I still think his place is at 147. Maybe a Cotto-Mosley II?? How about Berto?
I think Cotto is better at 147 being that he is a natural 140lbs fighter. I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch with either Mosley or Margarito. Berto is fresher and alot gas in his tank, but Cotto could give him problems with his expirience. I think a Martinez fight will not be good for Cotto at 154, to be quite honest.
Martinez seems like a terrible fight for Cotto but I admire his balls. The guy's a real warrior. I think a better path would be Marg II, then choose from Angulo (my first choice), Berto or Mosley II.
If cotto signs a contract extension with top rank he will be eliible for easy fights until he is mentally ready. if he doesnt top rank will feed him
Cotto vs Margarito, we've seen this it was a complete destruction of Cotto, i wouldn't want to see this again, it ends the same.
That's re-writing history slightly. Cotto looked superb for the first 6 rounds and it was only in the last 2 rounds that Marg started to put a real beating on him. Lest we forget, there's still the question of whether Marg had loaded gloves or not.
