So what do you guys think of Cotto fighting DLH leftovers? Is PBF to blame for this too??

Wow, after the 2-year build-up to Cotto-Margarito, Arum will just throw that match-up in the trash-can... for Ricardo 'I get kayod in every major fight' Mayorga??

If Cotto Can Increase His Stock Of Wins I Think He Wont Have To Call Floyd Out The Public Will Demand It.

No man. You think Arum has nothing to do with this? If Arum thinks there is decent change PBF will beat Cotto he will make sure that fight won't come off. He wants to suck some more dough out of Cotto before doing that:hey imo of course. DLH for example and now also mayorga: Huge cash/low risk, especially mayorga.

Yep. Then it will happen because there is nobody worth fighting left because Floyd will bring the most $$.
Arum knows that he can put Cotto in with safer fights and still earn tons of money (mayorga). Right? Or am I just thinking wrong here?

This is pathetic...What the hell is Team Cotto and Arums problem. After this farce with the guy from the reality show, the only other viable option is Margarito

I keep telling ya'll Arum doesn't want Cotto anywhere near Floyd until Floyd gets old. Meanwhile Arum can get some easy millions out of him.

In the interest of economy, why doesn't Cotto just fight Gomez and Mayorga at the same time. That way fans have to suffer through only one night of imitation championship boxing, plus the odds will be improved for Gomez and Mayorga. These cynical joke match-ups, match-ups created for nothing else but a big payday, are the reason people have grown disgusted with the sport of boxing.

Arum says the fight will probably happen, but not in July.

He says that Cotto will probably fight 4 times this years (I doubt it).

Mayorga is a possibility if the winner of Cintron-Margarito can't fight in July because of injury. But Cotto might fight Mayorga later, maybe in late 2008.
