Cotto in talks for Mayorga fight in July!!!!!

I've corrected EZE on too many posts as it is.

 

I'd rather Cotto fight the winner of Margarito/Cintron in July. If he wins that, a matchup with Mayorga wouldn't be bad. It would give him good exposure and lead to a Mayweather/Cotto matchup in 2009 once Floyd beats DLH and if Arum is willing.

 

And I've yelled at Carlito for his terrible posting on Margarito, how he makes us look bad. :smoke

To comment the bold. Like I said, we all assumed DLH was going to just fight Floyd and not have an inbetween fight.

He knew he was going to face DLH? Thats your opinion, that doesn't make it true. Floyd was calling Shane out before DLH was even thinking about Floyd.



And like I said once more. WE ALL assumed DLH would be going straight for Floyd or if he fought Cotto he would go only for Cotto and take time off again. But now that DLH has a warm up fight coming who knows. He said 3 more fights so we'll see.

 

Everyone assumed DLH wouldn't be having a fight before that (because of DLHs recent long time between fights)

 

Well what the hell do you guys want Cotto to do? He has already beaten the top WW in Mosley and Zab. PW as shown was nothing but a fake. The only options are Cintron or Margarito. This is a great stay busy fight until PBF decides to fight him.

How come its ok for PBF to pick the money opponents but not for Cotto.

 

It's perfectly fine for Cotto to do that, but people still critize Mayweather for doing so why Cotto gets a freebe. You cant say its fine for one and wrong for the other.

Cotto has fought 4 guys now that Floyd has beat. If Cotto fights DLH that would be 5.

 

Mayorga= Cannon fodder
A horrible choice for Cotto as this accomplishes very little and gets him nowhere
Newsflash nobody cares about Cotto handing a beatdown to a fighter that is measured by the top names who have beaten him
Mayorga is a warrior and like usual will give a good fight for a few rounds thats it....just as it always has been
Cotto needs to stop ****ing about and get more hardware, giving him even more credibility and hopefully passing PBF in the P4P rankings as it seems thats all he cares about...

 

1st Gomez is vastly more dangerous than Forbes,

2nd Cotto called out Floyd and Oscar wont fight P. Ricans so there is only Spinks (beaten by Judah), Forest (twice beaten by Mayorga), Alcine (high risk low reward).

Thus Cotto should go up and fight Mayorga (good money fight), fight the winner of Margarito/Cintron or Hatton/Hlatswayo, or go down and fight the winner of Witter/Hopkins.

Since the Hatton/Hlatswayo seems to be at WW then I would shoot for the winner of this one

 

I doubt Mayorga will disrespect Cotto in the lead up to the fight. Just like he didnt say anything about Trinidad. He doesnt want to catch an even bigger ass whooping that he is going to get.
