Yeah, this is all business. Much of the fluff that is put out in the media and online is just that -- fluff.

The truth is Mayweather knows he is unlikely to face Pac on May 5, 2012. And he needs a good dance partner after what may have been a disappointing PPV buyrate against Ortiz. And he is always happy to thwart Arum, as Arum is with him.

So, this is a good move by Mayweather, I think. It might not work, but it is worth a try. If it does work, it would be a great "get" by Team Mayweather.

I always thought Mayweather would beat Cotto, and I think Cotto may have slipped a bit, so now could be the perfect timing from a Mayweather perspective.

Wow...It sounds like the FIX IS IN ALREADY". And it's sad that no-one can see through Arum's obvious attempt to fatten his pockets by making sure that Pacquiao will always get the win versus JMM with "his paid judges".

So FMJ could fight Cotto while Pacquiao decides to make a 4th fight with JMM. But instead of this article and arums people saying the Winner of FMJ/Cotto will fight the winnner of Pac/JMM...it's simply saying that the winner of FMJ/Cotto will fight Pacquiao. There are already assuming Pacquiao will get the win, meaning....THE FIX IS IN. If I was JMM, I would tell Arum and Pacquiao to GO **** THEMSELVES.

Exactly. Like the Mosley and Ortiz fights -- guys who got their "heat" back but also have been somewhat "exposed" in other recent fights.

This is Mayweather's method. And this fight would fit perfectly with that, and for the rest of his goals.

Another reason this fight holds no appeal to other than hardcore boxing fans, is that there is zero angle that could be taken to make people believe these guys don't have the utmost respect for one another. Cotto doesn't **** talk and neither will Floyd in this case. It'll almost be like the JMM/PBF fight lead up, boring.

Yeah, even though Cotto looked good against Margo, I believe he has slipped. This is the oppertune time for Mayweather to take advantage of Cotto.

Pac fought Cotto when he was coming off a devastating KO loss, a win against a nobody for a vacant championship, and a disputable win against journeyman Clottey and folks act like he took on Godzilla.

Completely agree. As I said to Leon, this is the Mayweather method. And it's a smart one, if you have the leverage to do it.

Actually I was wrong before: The article says that the Cotto/PBF winner "could" face Pacquiao, I think. It doesn't say that they "will" face him.

So, the fix isn't necessarily in.

"coming off of" as in "with two wins in between"?

Remember, the Cotto fight is what scared the hell out of Team Mayweather. So, it seems many were impressed by that victory.

Naturally, you're the biggest bob **** on the site. Your livelihood depends on him paying you to defend him on this forum.

I wish -- I WISH -- anybody were paying me to post here. But they're not.

Right, I'm a "Bobtard" which is why I explained above how a Mayweather-Cotto fight would hurt Arum.

If I were a "Bobtard," I would say that "no, this won't affect Arum one way or another."

Good attempt by you. Keep trying. :good
