Not as much as Cotto that's for sure. Compare the times Floyd has been roughed up to how many times Cotto has.

Floyd is still sharp, physicaly and mentaly.

#1 I think Floyd is going to confuse and frustrate Manny...one of the things that I think makes Floyd great is his ability to impose his style on his opponents. I think he'll slow the pace (relative to Manny's typical outputs) much the way JMM did, as the pace slows Manny tends to get out of rhythmn...which is key for him, he's a rhythmn fighter. As the pace slows it will become a chess match and that's where Floyd has significant advantages in my opinion.

#2 In terms of "fair", Floyd is going to fight how Floyd fights, he's going to use every trick/tactic he has in the bag. I don't consider Floyd a "dirty" fighter, maybe you do, but that's never been something I thought about him. Manny isn't a good enough in fighter to want to be inside with Floyd, hence I don't see that being a huge deal.

#3 Floyd isn't going to trade with Manny per se', but by the last third of the fight I believe his confidence will swell enough that he ends up walking Manny down and using his size and strength to impose his will. I could definitely see him stopping Manny in this circumstance, not that it will automatically get here, but if it were to get here I could see a TKO or corner stoppage at some point late. Floyd is an underrated puncher, and while he doesn't possess huge one punch KO power, he's certainly not feather fisted.

#4 I think Floyd's speed will be a shock to Manny. Typically it's Manny's speed that shell shocks opponents early in fights, Floyd has been in with some fast fighters and I don't see him being shell shocked by Manny's speed. On the flip Manny hasn't been in with a fighter anywhere near Floyd's speed in a long time, and I think that could be problematic.

#5 Lastly in reference to the SSM punch/punches, I see what you're saying, but I don't think Manny has that kind of one punch power. Obviously he got Hatton, but outside of that, I haven't seen anything that would make me believe that he could hurt PBF that way. I don't doubt he may be able to stun him, or possibly even get a flash KD along the way (Manny's a great fighter I don't think that's impossible), but I don't see him legitimately "hurting" Floyd that way, and while it's popular to say "if Manny hurts Floyd he'll finish him"...I can't call it. He hurt Cotto and didn't finish him, he hurt Margarito and didn't finish him, he KD Mosley and didn't finish him, he had Marquez hurt in both the first two fights and didn't finish him either.

I just believe Floyd is too skilled, too talented, too versitile, for Manny to deal with. Manny is super human if allowed to fight at his pace, in his comfort zone, his rhythmn, and on his terms...no question. I just see no way in this world that a fighter as skilled as Floyd, is going to allow Manny to stand in bounce around, get off first, and fight at his pace and rhythmn...when he's not able to to do that he becomes a "pretty good" fighter as opposed to the "great" fighter we see when he is allowed.

What do you mean he's looking good again? Lol... Since his loss to Marg his only loss was at the hands of Pac. Other than that he's been in the winners circle. But I do agree that Pac vs may should be next. Cotto vs Floyd would be a good fight.... Long over due but better late than never. I just hope that all those who said miguel was shot don't try to use that as a reason not to give Floyd credit if he ends up beating Cotto.

Yea......but all the Pac haters said Cotto was shot to **** when Pac destroyed him.....and those same Pac haters were saying Marg was shot to **** before Pac destroyed him... So how is Floyd fighting a "shot" fighter "OK" just because of looking impressive against another "SHOT" fighter?:think

Let's review Cotto's recent performances by opponent and how he looked against them.

    Marg - Horrific
    Can - Irrelevant
    Clottey - Questionable
    Pac - Bad
    Foreman - Bad
    Mayorga - Decent
    Marg - Good

So yes, he is looking good again after a decent showing against Mayorga and a good win over Margacheato.

Cotto vs Marg 1 looked just like the rematch only Margs eye was damaged and Cottos face held up better.

His fight proceeding his 1st defeat was a one sided win...

Miguel beat Josh in a great fight and at tba time Josh was a to 5 welter.

He got destroyed by Pac but most have who faced Manny.

He completely dominated Yuri to win a another title in another weight class and then beat Ricardo which was a good fight.

Cottos been looking good kid... For a fighter that's "shot" its even more impressive... Someone needs to tell EM and Miguel they are shot because they obviously never got the memo.

It's a decent fight...it will bring more attention to the sport and Cotto has a good style that could pose some problems for Floyd to make it entertaining... Hell be a big under dog but its an easier sell than Sergio and its a fight that's easier to make as Floyd doesnt seem as interested in that fight.

The real fight is with Pac. And now that Pac had a close fight with JMM it looks like Floyd is finally ready to agree to the fight that he's been avoiding going on 3 yrs.

Floyd called out emmanuel 2 weeks before emmanuel lost to Juan.

Floyd might not seem as interested in a Sergio fight, but he hasn't ever seemed interested in a Cotto(e) fight. Cotto(e) has the style to get schooled by Floyd. jab to the body all night

Why do you constantly post this when Floyd called out Pac with the May 5th date before the fight with JMM? What has Floyd done MORE now that the fight is over than he did BEFORE by saying they've got the date for the little fella? :huh

Cotto looked like **** in the Mayorga and Clottey fights. I thought he looked much better against Foreman and he looked the best he's looked in a while against Margarito. He runs kind of hot and cold these days.

Floyd been calling out Pac ....but then reniggin' and contradicting himself on this issue...

Floyd was in PR earlier in the year meeting with Cotto which no one divulged what the meeting was about so it might be a possibility.

Cotto most likely would lose but only one way to find out and I would love to see this long over due fight in 2012. I wouldn't bet against Money in this one.... Ive never bet against Floyd.
