On the same token, can Pacman stand up to a legitimate 147 pounder in Cotto with a vicious body assault?

Keep in mind what Marquez and Morales didt to him....after TWO fights with Marquez the only thing that separates the two is 1 point.

Ricardo Torres is no Manny Pacquiao...but he's close in terms of excitement. Your boy was holding ala Hatton when he got hurt. Can you imagine if Cotto even dreams of trading with Pacquiao..

    Exhibit A...

For the record, it was indeed a nice win for Cotto but it showed that its the beginning of the end for Cotto.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit to see Cotto lowblowin Pac when he becomes desperate.

Yeah, but Clottey was exhausted. He did not have much left in the tank, and that's why he lost. Even though Cotto faded earlier in the fight, he had just a little more left in the championship rounds.

Regardless, your point still stands--Pacquiao has freakish stamina, and unless he gets Pacquiao out of there early, Cotto is in for a long and painful night.

Torres sure was ****ing him up ion the 2nd round, but Cotto has improved since then, even if I think he's psychologically damaged.

Maybe I missed something....its the beginning of the end for someone who got stunned by a KO artist and then came back and KO'd him ?

Cotto has one loss and it is very questionable....how many losses does Mosley, Margarito, Judah, Clottey and Pacquiao have ?

So, Please with writing Cotto off....it is getting old!!!!

The argument here is just as valid as the one with the clip of JMM tagging Pac.

if he can tag Pacquiao and back him up, I think Cotto has a really good chance to wipe out the Margarito skeletons in his closet. Cotto just needs some confidence and a knockdown of Pac would do wonders for it. Pacquiao hasn't been seriously hurt since the Nedal Hussein fight. He's been outboxed and rattled a few times but not seriously hurt to where he's holding on for dear life.

    Why is that ?

Pac didn't knock Marquez out !!!!

After two fights the only thing that separates the two is ONE point !!!!

Cotto knocked Torres out cold !!!!!

    Good points, all.

Except, I think Pac was knocked down and hurt a fight or two before he first faced MAB.

    :huh

Maybe I should show the Margarito fight where Cotto takes a knee and never gets back up. You should thank Oscar for taking the "No Mas" title away from Cotto. Just like David Diaz calling Manny Pacquiao and celebrating that he doesn't have to be the poster boy for Pacquiao knockouts anymore after the Hatton KO.:rofl:rasta

You know what Cotto doesnt ***** and always engages a quality oponent he deserves a ****ing payday! it will be infinitely more exciting than a PBF match so I dont give a rats ass! Im almost willing to concede the weight for this Warrior to get paid such is my respect for the warrior code and my appreciation for what Cotto brings to the sport of boxing

It was Nedal Hussein or Agapito Sanchez. Minds kinda blurry since I never followed the guy until I stumbled across Pacquiao fighting JMM in 2004.

Kind of an odd story about that first fight that I ever attended. My cousin was in town and told me he was here to see a boxing fight. Told me some filipino dude was fighting. Never heard of Pacquiao before in my life. I do remember seeing him though on a Mike Tyson undercard.

I sit down with my cousin and Miguel Cotto's on the undercard of this fight. I said, I gotta get a hot dog and beer. It was round 3 and Miguel Cotto knocks his tomato can out. I get back and I missed the knockout because of a freakin' urge to have a hot dog. I learned to NEVER ever get food between rounds or during rounds.

5 years later and Miguel is fighting Pac at 147...I would have never thought it was possible.

Cotto has been hurt by Abdulaev, Torres, Corley, Margarito, Maussa, Judah, Mosley. The guy doesn't have a glass jaw but his chin isn't iron either, he can be hurt once caught properly and we all know how hard Pacquiao hits and how he goes berserk when he has someone even slightly hurt. With the speed of Pacquiao expect him to land punches Cotto wont' see coming, if Corley's punch on the temple which Cotto didn't see coming did that to him I hate to imagine what Pac's will and as early as round one.
