Nobody cares about your book. The only book that matters is the one that Boxrec says. Cotto is 4-1 in his last 5 fights, and that 1 loss is very sceptical. If you want my opinion, I thought Cotto beat Mosley pretty easily I had it 117-111 or 116-112 I'll have to get my scorecard, but I didn't think it was close at all. The Clottey fight I had was 114-113 for Cotto.
I agree. The first time I watched the Clottey fight I felt he could have won. I went back and with the kd it gave hime the nod. Either way he was fighting two of the best welters. And the division is packed so thats doing alot. Beating Quintana, Judah, Mosley, Clottey, and a war that he loss to Marg gives him a great resume at welter.
Theres no way I can see Mosley only winning only three to four rounds. They were trading bombs. First four or so rounds split. Cotto came in strong through the middle. Mosley finished off strong. Very evenly matched fight.
Naw, it was 116-112 I'm looking at it right now. Either way, it was a CLEAR Cotto win. Like I said, I had it 117-111 OR (look I said OR, idiot) 116-112.
I had Cotto winning by a point over Mosley and losing by a point to Clottey. In the Clottey fight, it was interesting because Clottey won his rounds more impressively in my opinion. The more interesting and somewhat revealing fight was Mosley though. The fact that Mosley hurt Cotto in the middle rounds (8th or 9th, I can't remember) and that it was the first time we saw Cotto back up for a large portion of a fight. Cotto boxed the rest of the fight going backwards. On the one hand I was impressed that Cotto could actually out box Mosley, but on the other hand I wasn't impressed that Cotto HAD to back up from Shane. I knew this didn't bode well for his future and we then saw what Margarito did (hand wraps aside) and also that Clottey had him moving backwards most of the fight. Granted, Pacman doesn't have the size of a natural Welter, but I do think his volume and punching power will prove to do the same thing to Cotto and make him move backwards, and probably rather early on in the fight. The difference with Pacman is that his handspeed won't allow Cotto to fight off the back foot and out box him. I honestly see Pacman stopping Cotto by the 8th or 9th round.
