I didn't like a couple of things I saw last night from Cotto: 1.) He was asked if Margarito's hand-wrapping incident helped him get over his loss or if he had already been passed it; he said that the incident had helped him. Wrong answer in my opinion. I was expecting him to jump on that with "I had put it behind me prior to", or something along those lines. 2.) His actions after round 4 (I think that was the round). I had actually stepped out of the room during middle-late part of that round. When I came in and saw him jumping up and down I thought the fight was over. To me he was convincing himself that: "I still have IT!" On one hand it was rather refreshing to see such honesty and emotion from a fighter. However, because boxing is such a mentally challenging sport, I think this really revealed where his head was, and is at. I think his psyche is weak and I'm not convinced he has gotten passed his loss to Margarito...yet.
Of course he won't get over it when Margarito exposed as a cheater recently, it will definitely bother him but help him recover from it mentally easier.
I liked to see some emotion from Miguel. I think it was all a good sign. He has the ability to take over at 147lb. No doubt about it. Goodluck to him.
Yeah I wish him luck as well. I'm not a fan of his but he seems like a stand up guy. I just thought those were some red flags from last night.
I think it had more to do with the fact that Cotto expected everyone to turn against him...yet when he came out the crowd was absolutely ballistic. As per his celebration at the end of round 4, it was more Evangelista who tried to hump him as he came to the corner. I think after that Cotto kind of got lost in the moment for a second. You can see in his eyes after the fight that it was like "the hardest one is out of the way". I think he got his swagger back as one would say.
I though he looked a little drained at the weigh in compared to the Mosley weigh in.I saw pictures on here earlier of the two separate fights.
On a sidenote, "Hax0r Jim Duggan" is such an absurdly funny name that I believe you deserve a medal for it.
A point about the fans.....UK fans get blasted for booing the America national anthem, and rightly so tbf I think they should respect the anthem and the person who is singing it also,it must be quite off putting. Some tasteless ****s booed the English national anthem last night at MSG.Was it Puerto Ricans or Americans??:huh
The former. Most nations don't have a problem with anthem booing...all part of the fun. Not like anyone means anything by it. I think most people got butt hurt over it for no reason.
LOL! This was actually my alias for gaming online. However, of late admins become suspicious and generally tell me to change it or just kick me on the spot. So it's been retired and I go with "Danny Tanner" now
Right. Also somewhat in I BELIEVE Hopkins-Calzaghe. That said they may have been booing the terrible singing of the national anthem.
