Cotto Is A Step Up For Maravilla.

Murray is very much a B level fighter, who is 6 feet tall that would walk down and knock Cotto out in spite of his lack of KOs, weight divisions do matter.

Leapai is worthless as a HW yet would KO Cotto and Martinez easily, size does matter in boxing.

Martinez disappointed me in the Murray fight, but he was injured.
Try constantly moving in the rain on a very bad knee and keeping a guy off of you with a fractured left hand, that is quite a lot to overcome yet he managed to win barely.

The punching power of Martinez is underrated, Sergio knocked down Williams in the first fight hard, and KO'd him in the second fight.

KO's like that aren't easy to overcome makes their chins more susceptible yet Lara landed over 100 brutal lefts on Williams in the next fight after the KO and didn't come close to dropping Paul.

The same Lara who would easily beat and probably KO Cotto as well.
Sergio is the biggest puncher Cotto has ever fought and even if he is 60% of what he was 4 years ago he rips Miguel face to pieces.

Sergio is awkward like Trout.
Sergio can counter like Floyd.
Sergio is the same size as Margarito.
Sergio is fast like Pacquiao.

That's a nightmare for Cotto.

 

Cotto fans hold up the Murray fight as evidence He can beat Sergio because it was close.
Yet Cotto's Best win was Mosley which was closer than Martinez/Murray.
What other great wins does he have which haven't been debatable ?

 

Cotto's last 3 fights.
Delvin is not legit at all, so what.
Floyd rocked him badly in the last round and could of KO'd him if he'd tried.
Trout dominated him, look at his face at the end of that fight. Austin is not heavy handed.

Macklin did not hurt Martinez once, the knock down was a push over his knee. Martinez stopped Macklin.
I would love to see how Cotto would deal with a 6'1 Cruiserweight, Sergio did a pretty good job for 11 1/2 rounds.

Barker Macklin and Murray were defensive mode from the beginning of their fights. Its hard to look good against guys who don't want to fight.

Barker covered up and was eventually KO'd through his high guard.
Macklin was rocked in the 2nd and 4th round changed his strategy still got KO'd.
Murray was hurt in the last 2 rounds Sergio wasn't in survivor mode.
