:thumbsup he went after pac as long as he had the energy to. when you take that many punches you get tired as ****. it's not really that hard to figure out. by the 7th or 8th he was faded as hell from taking a ton of solid punches from a guy who obviously does hit harder than most people think.

he tried his best to stay in there and finish the fight despite the fact that he knew everyone wanted it stopped and he did it while keeping his cool and showing not one ounce of fear (even knowing that there have been fighters who have died taking less punishment). to me that is a warrior.

Any man who steps between the ropes in front of millions with just gloves & shorts for a 1 on 1 battle is a warrior. Cotto not a warrior ? Why because he was smart enough to reallize that standing toe to toe with Pac was not working ? Cotto tried to change up the fight on pac but he did it too late he was already worn out and couldn't box from the outside as effectively but he tried.

You don't necessarily need to go get knocked out to be a warrior, ever heard of "Live to fight another day?" No matter how many wars Cotto has been in, he sucks it up and goes back into it, win or lose.

This is why I hate hating ass dudes like you.

The fight was suppose to end in the 9th, Cotto kept it going in the twelfth

And Cotto still fighting, just going backwards. He was cut up real bad. Do you have to be STUPID to be a warrior? Cotto was still trying to fight a smart fight and avoid getting cut, while still trying to attack Pac.

    Total Punches
    Pacquiao :
    336 / 780 - 43%
    Cotto : 172 / 597 - 29%

    Jabs
    Pacquiao :
    60 / 220 - 27%
    Cotto : 79 / 297 - 27%

    Power Punches
    Pacquiao :
    276 / 560 - 49%
    Cotto : 93 / 300 - 31%

At the rate Manny was punching, how can Cotto just come forward to a fury of popping punches? Thats not smart.

Bottom line, Cotto never gave up and wanted to finish a brutal fight.

Where as a punkasshatingbitch like you wouldn't even know how to train and prepare to even step to a guy like Pacquiao or even his scrawny ass father....don't judge a man like Cotto if you can't do it yourself.

you are right and they are right too. it just comes down to what you mean by a warrior

he has heart and cotto was still trying to find a way to throw out that jab but he was a goner and it wasn't competitive those last few rounds at all so much so Pac had his gloves by his sides just standing there, cotto was asking how much time left in his corner and his goal was no longer to win just to make it to 12, so you can say he effectively gave up and went for second prize, survival, but even that is tough to do against Pac

WARRIOR for me is .........for example

someone going balls out crazy as they are getting wrecked, check out Mayorga vs Trinidad, holy crap!!! The ******* had to be taken apart piece by piece and he was still standing there swinging. I remember Roy Jones on the commentary saying something like "man I would go to war with Mayorga any day of the week" as in have him on his team
