Cotto is done for? Hmmm, last time I checked he actually won his last fight. Margarito got knocked the **** out by Mosley after getting caught loading his gloves with plaster. But by all means keep clinging on to that glimmer of hope that no one can prove that Margarito used loaded gloves against Cotto. It seems to be the only thing you've got besides Margos **** balls deep down your throat. :-(

In California, the trainers are allowed to bring with them their own gauze, tape, and materials......

Against Mosely, Capetillo had his own bag with him in the view of everyone there including inspectors and Nazim Richardson himself.......

In this instance in California, Capetillo is reaching in and out of his bag......its up to the inspectors and or the opponents trainer to question anything brought out and put on the fighters hands.......
Since you're allowed in California to use your own materials, trainers bring with them already made knucklepads that are placed over fighters knuckles.......
Its up to the inspectors to inspect anything that comes out of that bag.
In the Mosely fight, both the inspector and Richardson failed to ask Capetillo that they wanted to feel the first knucklepad placed on Margarito's right hand.......when they were wrapping Margarito's left hand is when Riohardson caught himself knowing that the knucklepad was'nt made in his presence, and asked to see and feel the knucklepad......

When you really think about it, would'nt it be natural for anyone inspecting to have asked to feel a knucklepad already pre-made coming out of a bag????????


In any regards, Teddy Atlas explained this on ESPN.....In Nevada, since you have to use only the materials provided by the commission there......it means that a fighter cant bring with them pre-made knucklepads, the trainer has to make them right there in the presence of the inspectors......and they do so by rolling up gauze back and forth to the width of a fighters fists.......



So to answer your question JC27, against Cotto, Capetillo would'nt have had the opportunity to reach into a bag to pull out premade knucklepads......he would have had to have made them right there in the presence of Nevada inspectors with Nevada's gauze!

Sure, just like the commission in California somehow overlooked it. So by your statement you believe Capetillo that it was an innocent mistake and it was the first time it happened...or..it happened in all of his other fights in other states EXCEPT Nevada. Right? Is that the "reality" im supposed to get a grip on?

 

My opinions are based on articles I've read, and the facts pointed out in the Margarito hearing itself.....and in that hearing it was stated that in reference to the knucklepads that Capetillo had said that a fighter at his gym must have thrown the knucklepads in question in his bag.......

......the point being is that the trainers carry with them a bag where they keep qauze, tape, knucklepads, etc.......

This is'nt Rocket Science.....in California naturally if you're allowed to use your own wrapping material, they're going to be brought in a bag.....


Just use your common sense.....In Nevada, since you're only allowed to used materials handed to them in a sealed bag......if Capetillo were to even go close to a bag to reach for something, the inspectors would be on it like a hawk......"what the hell did you reach into that bag for, everything you need is here in this bag!"

For once, I'd like to hear someone like Dan Raphael who says he has no proof that its a gut feeling of his that Margarito loaded his gloves vs Cotto........
......actually write a fair article on the matter and with coaberation from trainers, give a scenario on how Margarito would have went about cheating in Nevada with Nevada materials......

.....interview trainers, fighters, inspectors, and write a solid article......instead of just writing his biased crap and just stating it as gut feeling!:-(


My friend, there is protocol to follow......what has to be written if you're of the opinion that Margarito loaded his gloves vs Cotto, it to state how that protocol could have been broken under the current rules of Nevada.
