Yesterday it was reported here in PR that Cotto and his team did not want to talk to the media as a protest for the judges decision... Today he back pedals from that position and gives Floyd and the judges full respect.... I personally think that he saw the video...
That's cool, I'm glad he came to grips with it. I just wish he didn't walk out of the ring like that.
Don't think he could have complaints about losing. The cards should have been closer. I need to watch it again and score the fight
Its hard for fighters who are in a competitive fight to truly see the difference in who are winning the rounds. Its damn tough. Again, I'm glad hes owning up to it.
Obviously he watched the fight and full respect to him for coming out positively. I don't see why it's funny to tards. Some idiots here need to know that being in the ring is totally different than being out of it. Within the ring many fighters believe they won fights that might not be close till they finally see the fight and reevaluate.
He has nothing to apologize for IMO, he fought the fight of his life, gave floyd probably his toughest fight & came up short, he`s bound to be disappointed... who gives a **** if he left the ring without being interviewed, the guy is a proud fighter, this was the biggest fight of his life & he really believed he could win & fought that way... I wish more fighters would act like Cotto, inside & outside the ring.
this. i wanted to hear his thoughts on how he did and other things he wouldve been asked about. and he should have given floyd as much props as floyd was giving him.
Can't find the whole fight online. It's possible that a lot of rounds were close but floyd done enough to take them which resulted in the wide UD. It looked closer on the night
