Steward to me is not that good of a trainer anymore.

Just look at Banks and Lee...bad defence, clinching and stamina problems.

Nacho Beristain would be the right choice IMO...

They don't have the best relations Cotto admited in one of the inteview but he said like any other family they have their up and down and he is helping to keep the money within the family I totally agreed with the thread what else Evangelista could teach Cotto Boxing is a lonely sport once the bell sound you are on your own.

Each opponent is different. So its his job to come up with strategies for each fight and what he expects to work against Margo.

As well as during the fight he sees it from a different perspective and needs to let cotto know what he is doing right and wrong and adjustments during the rounds.

Evangelista is a very underestimated trainer. He seems to give good advices on breaks and he doesn't panic.

I wouldn't let the perception of that Countdown skew my opinion of their relationship if I were you. Cotto has improved vastly over the years so I'm sure his trainer has got to be teaching him something in the gym.

I doubt Nacho Beristain would ever consider training a Cotto
(Nor would I think Miguel would need his service)

That said there is always the second trainer to everyone...

Cotto knows he needs to be prepared for this fight 100% and he will be come fight time.. Cotto and his uncle may have their problems, but without Evange, would Cotto be where he is today? No doubt Cotto still improves after every fight though he basically trains himself these days.. Cotto knows what he has to do..

Moron, how can you come to that conclusion based upon maybe 5-10 minutes of footage?

It will be the same old Cotto you won't be able to tell any effects.
