That's irrelevant, your thread title says COTTO is better than anyone Floyd has fought.

I always felt that Corrales was rather over-rated, quite limited and somewhat slow. He was very good at what he did and clashes of styles in his favour made him look very good on a few occassions (and got the wins to back it up)...when taking into account the advantages and disadvantages he had against Floyd he was never going to win, and for this reason I always felt this tarnished the value of this name on Mayweather's resume.

Corrales's record when he fought Floyd was nothing special, whereas Cotto had one of the best records around 140-147.

I feel 34yrs old DLH at 154 when Mayweather fought him is the same level of Cotto at 147.

Pacquiao has a better resume, and has dispatched of his opponents in WAY more exciting fashion the Mayweather has.

The thread says Cotto is better than anyone Floyd has fought. What does Pacs skill have to do with that?

Cotto is no more proven then corrales or castillo. Look at all three have done, outside of shane tell how much better is cotto's resume?

Are you talking about Corrales being 33-0 (27 ko's) when he fought Floyd? Yeah, you're right, that is a horrible record! Cotto looked like a beast in every fight at 140 (dropped twice by Torres, rocked and nearly stopped by Corley, given a gift against Clottey at 147) so I understand your logic. You should work for "The Ring" and share your brilliant insight with the rest of the world!

Yeah, I don't remember Floyd looking even half as good against Judah, who Cotto dumped twice to an 11th round KO.

Yes, Coto is indeed better than anyone that PBF ever faced. No doubt about it.

However, yet and still, Pac has never faced anyone as good as PBF. So, the as much as we are looking to give either one of them an edge. The fact remains that they are BOTH better than either has ever faced. And probably be a very very wide margin.

Corrales was a 130/135 pounder. The only time he moved up to 147 he got pummelled pillar-to-post by Joshua Clottey. So of course Cotto would be the favourite in that fight by stoppage. What I'm saying is Corrales was primed & proven, wins over Castillo, Freitas and Casamayor prove that point.

I'm a big fan of Miguel Cotto and have the upmost respect for him and he's got a very good resumé, but I think Corrales at the point that both fought Mayweather & Pacquiao respectively was arguably more proven and rated P4P.
