I wasn't. I don't make posts about PBF and Cotto comparing them and saying one is better than the other.

I'm glad to see that you take it that way however, no matter how unbiased it seems.

I'm saying that Cotto has a very good resume. Thus, in reality, he is a great fighter. Am I saying he is the GREATEST? No, because he has nothing solid as a testament for such a claim. He still is NOT a hype job as some people state.

This was the initial point. It will be a highly competitive fight between two of today's prime athletes.

    Bull****.

Freitas became a top contender at 130 when Mayweather was already leaving that division. If Floyd didn't fight someone at 130, it was Casamayor.

Vivian Harris was losing to Carlos Maussa when Mayweather was at 140. Anyway, Mayweather beat Hatton who beat Maussa. Also, Gatti was The Ring's #1 contender at 140. Tszyu was old as hell and lost to a guy that Mayweathr defeated.

You think Mayweather is avoiding Quitana, Williams, Cotto, Margarito, Clottey? Ignorance is impudent.

AztekWarrior, this is a boxing forum, you know that right? We're here to talk boxing and not call names and insult peoples moms'. Grow up.

Besides, up until 2004, he was calling everybody out. Now they call him out and he can pick and choose who he wants to fight based on how much $$$$$$$ he can make and nothing else. I think......I know he beats Cotto and/or Margarito by decision.

a hum...He fought hatton at 147 not 140. He saw how poorly Hatton last fight at 147 was, so Floyd immediately wanted in. Typical Floyd.

Not disparaging Mayweather's achievements, like his detractors do, but I tend to agree with that statement (and that's coming from a fan).

As far as Margarito being one of the best opponents in boxing, I disagree. He's big, tough, relentless, intimidating but he's also slow, flat-footed, predictable and average at the very best technically.

Who has Margarito fought outside of Golden Johnson that grants much cred?

Who has Cotto fought that grants cred? ... Mosley 36 and counting ... hasn't won anything significant w/o DLH's help ... Judah ... lost 2 straight before Cotto and was on 400 days rest ... Oktay Urkal? same guy who lost to Vicious Vivian Harris ... Carlos Quintana most notable wins are against up and comers Williams and Julio?

Outside of Malignaggi and Torres ... Cotto hasn't really fought anyone!!
