    Pastrano boxed trying not to hurt or take punishment himself. He was a pure boxer capable of doing this at the highest level, light heavyweight champion of the world and at one time, I think a top ten heavyweight contender. Double HOFer too. Trained under Angelo Dundee, fought Archie Moore to a draw, has a win over Joey Maxim and Harold Johnson (both HOFers). Colorful fellow, terrific talent.

    You'd be a braver man than I to take an avatar bet like that.I don't have THAT much belief in Cotto being past it for something like this.If he gets that passion and edge back,Yuri is going to get chopped the **** down.

    i just can't see cotto being outboxed by yuri. his only two losses came via ass whooping. foreman doesn't have the pop to put cotto on his backfoot pac style.

    I don't think he has to do that though. I think all he has to do is keep himself on the back foot, not Cotto. But I do hope to see Cotto revert back to his old merciless body shots and pressure. I don't have a lot of faith in how far Steward and Miguel can go in a short time for one fight but we'll see. Locche/Fuji is one of my favorite clinics, by the way.

    The only thing I'm sure of is that he's a douche. I don't think whether he was kidding. He's never funny. He's just lame and smug with his name and Max Kellerman avatar. Other than that he's fairly decent guy. :lol:

    I'd like the mods to allow me another account called Tim Dampley and have Lampley's picture and just go around into threads saying things like "Look at De La Hoya's beautiful, beautiful face. Bang! Bang! Bang!" etc. But that's just me. Wait, what were we talking about? Oh, yeah. I think Sicilians are like like the pith in an orange and by that I mean...never mind. Another discussion.

    good point. i just think foreman fighting off the back foot opens up a world of possibilities for a good pressure fighter. i only see cotto losing if he's put on the defensive.

    do you know how fuji was thought of at the time, by the way? how was he? i haven't seen any of his other fights.
