Being savagely and illegally head butted and being drained to near catatonia are pretty legitimate excuses.:deal

Near catatonia? Seriously? I mean I see were you are attempting to go with your assertion but there's little truth to saying he was in a catatonic state when he was thoroughly beaten by Miguel. I'm sure you were looking to embellish for a more dramatic result.

Cotto is a really important test for Canelo. He was beaten like a child by Floyd. So, he's not near that level yet, we know. He scr@ped (the fock we can't say "s****ed" now?) by Trout. Though I felt the win was clear enough. He got the nod over Lara. Though I felt Lara deserved it. So, I can't really say Canelo is "that guy" just yet. But, if he gets a dominant victory over Cotto, who has looked rejuvinated of late, I'd have to give him that title...for now. This is definitely a good matchup. The MW title being at stake is straight bullsh!t though...nothing but boxing's dirty politics on full display.

Cotto has seen it all against some very good comp for over 14 years. I didn't think that he would survive this long lacking a natural right hand which tells me this. He is a very good boxer. He is a converted southpaw, and has unique ring smarts that are very underrated.

With that said, two fists are better than one and Canelo is a smart kid who won't fall for Cotto's tricks. If Canelo stands his ground, uses the jab, Cotto will have to eventually come to him. Cotto has a very good jab of his own. I pick Canelo to win by tko in 11.

No focking doubt! KNEEGuel will be knighted like Sir Lancelot (again) and have cinnamon sprinkled all over him. This has a Margarita type asswhooping written all over it. Cinnamon! Cinnamon! Cinnamon! I can't wait for CANELO to rise up and take what is rightfully his![emoji109]

Is that what you saw because that is not what happened. Canelo was trying to box early on against Lara and he was getting outboxed and had to go to plan b or lose the fight. Lara was never hurt and if Canelo landed all those hard shots like they say, why didn't Lara wilt or show any signs of fatigue. Canelo won about 4 rounds tops in the middle of the fight and lost the last 3 clear as day.

Canelo never imposed his will of forced Lara back in the entire fight. Half those bodyshots he got credit for landed on arms and elbows. Lara made Canelo come forward after winning the first 4 rounds.

With that being said I'll take Canelo to outbox cotto 8-4 or stop him late. Too big for cotto. They ressurected cotto specifically for Canelo. Mexico vs Puerto Rico. Don't get fooled.

Unless punching air was a scoring criteria
Over half those bodyshots were landed on arms or elbows.

Canelo was off balance, too slow of hand and foot, and punched air, glove, and arms all night.

Cotto is a Quitter. He is also a crybaby Diva. Will not be watching this awful catchweight fight.

Big difference in circumstances. Whether you bring Martinez's knee into the equation or not, that was a tremendous surprise. It wouldn't surprise me if Cotto wins this. However, I think Canelo will win in a close, hotly contested fight.

If cotto doesn't Ko Canelo he loses. He will not thoroughly whip Canelo like Lara did.
