No just look what its done for Mayweather and Marquez doesnt nearly have the Cred that Pac has at weights above 140.....so if that happens expect the band wagon to be in full force again claiming Cotto is all the way back! if he loses they revert back to Margo fight took it out of him .......these are the two stock scenarios that will play out guarenteed

No they won't. Floyd duds will do that though.

Cotto is still one of my fave fighters, win or lose. I'd say pac is just on another level should he win against Miguel.

Not really... if Cotto wins and knocks Pacquiao out in a competitive bout or even by thorough smashing, it gives Miguel a lot of needed popularity. Which honestly, Pacquiao has a lot more of right now after his smashing of Ricky Hatton... and such a victory could set up a possible fight between Cotto and PBF which is even more popularity and more dollar bills coming Cotto's way.

People were complaining about the JMM-PBF fight long before it happened, everybody was against it except those floydettes, thinking that beating the #2 fighter in the world who's 2 divisions lower to come up and face him in his most comfortable weight division would catapult him back to #1. And JMM rads believing JMM is ready for 147. Added to the fact that Floyd didnt honor the agreed weight limit and decided to pay the fine instead.

Dont worry about the excuses. Its pretty common these days. But i still has to see a thread where majority doesnt want to see this fight.

  5. No it isn't. Pacman is the sport's hottest fighter so how would beating him be a bad thing? It isn't. If Cotto wins, it wouldn't surprise me if Team Pac asked for a rematch somewhere down the line and that would be another huge payday for Miguel. Miguel comes out ahead IF he wins. If he loses, I think the loss will ruin him psychologically.

You ****ing Cottonheads are really one of the most myopic group. ima pac fan - a ******* if you like, and a borderline cotto fan. i've always held this to be a 50/50 fight and can accept a cotto win even while rooting for pac.

but this is exactly the kind of attitude that turns people away from cottos hard earned respect. cotto and pac are in the same boat in so many ways. And this match was not the fight i'd rather have. but now that its happened, if pac loses i would have been happy he lost and passed the torch to cotto more than anybody else. because cotto has earned it thru all the tough fights he had, and that cheating margo did to him.

but you ****ing morons onesided view turns people away from that. this thread is just the kind that turns potential cotto fans into hater. :-(

you want a war? just keep doing what you guys are doing and your gonna get it. the aftermath will be seen here in esb with all your stupid posts bumped up and made fun after the fight. :fire

I disagree. This will really elevate Cotto if he wins. Right now he's the underdog and most boxing "experts" are predicting Pac. Regardless of who wins, the winner will be elevated. If Cotto wins he will be said to have overcome the Margo beating and will be the WW to fight; If Pac wins, he woud have defeated a legitimate WW and will continue his reign.

Pac is not in a win-win situation. If he gets completely destroyed, he'll be deemed too small for the WWs, he'll lose the huge Pac/May payday, and he'll be forced back down to the lower weights. We may get to see Pac/Mqz 3 which would be good for us, but no way he'll get big WW fights with May, Shane, or any other strong WW.
