It does, considering who he was facing. Pacquiao is a phenom, an all time great and has managed to gain weight without losing his speed or his power. I think it's a mistake to judge Cotto and his actions without considering the quality and the ability of the guy he faced.

Dawson did what he had to do to win and made it look easy on the process.

exactly, and that is why Cotto tried different tactics, becasue his plan 'A' wasn't working. I was quite annoyed by the American commentary I was listening to towards the end of the fight. Yes, Cotto had taken some punches, but in the middle to late rounds he was doing pretty well, if I remember correctly, rounds 7 and 8 could be scored to Cotto and I wouldn't have argued, and yet all I was hearing was these commentators saying Cotto is almost dead, it is now a no contest, and Pacquiao is the greatest thing since Jesus Christ.

This was far from the case, and as you say, fights can swing with one punch. Cotto was behind but definitely still in it - he wasn't exactly getting his ass handed to him, and he was still hitting Pac with some good clean shots. I found it ridiculous the commentators starting talking about Pac/Mayweather while this fight was still going on. They really did a **** job and did their best to ruin the final 3rd of the fight which was still good, just not as epic as the first few rounds.

Homebrand your right the fight can be decided by one punch so why the hell in the last few rounds dident Cotto throw caution to the wind knowing he was way behind on the cards and go out all gunz blazzing for that knockout punch in that last 2-3 rounds to try to win the fight and keep his belt , but he dident he ran away for 2 and a half minutes of every round because he was afraid to get hit and to me that's not Heart that's a beaten fighter and his corner and team knew it and should have pulled him out
