im a cotto fan and i WANT to believe marg cheated agaisnt him but dont make the mistake of saying Marg has no power. The day he fought Shane he was NOT there, his body was taking a beating but his mind was worried about something else and that is VERY evident if you watch the fight. I believe Marg will be training for power if antyhing but Cotto should be able to KO him in 10.

I'll say this......it was entirely possible that Margarito was clean against Cotto. It also is entirely possible that he wasn't.

I can't put too much stock in that article simply because the head of NSAC has a vested interest in Margo having been clean that night, especially after the fact.

He was simply quoting the rules. I'm sure every state has similar rules on record, including California. The only difference is that Nevada supplies the gauze. Doesn't mean something couldn't be slipped in while applying it.

The rules call for certain procedures. Doesn't mean they are strictly adhered to, or followed at all. Human complacency and indifference sees to that.

It really comes down to who you believe. Cotto and company have no way of knowing that Margo did anything that night, but have every right to have suspicions.

Margo and Capetillo both claim nothing was wrong vs Cotto and also that they didn't know anything wrong was being done vs Mosley. But somehow an illegal pad with and illegal substance made into a fight ready wrap and glove and was approved by the inspector.

Was it really a coincidence and they happened to get caught doing it the one and only time they tried? Or was it that they just got caught after doing it more than once? Of course they would say it was the 1st time. What else could they say?

To me, it all smacks of bull**** though. Somehow this series of events happens, and nobody knew anything and nobody is guilty of any wrong doing? That's just my opinion.

A few questions....

Are knucklepads, old or new, a legal part of wrapping anyway?

What do you think about the picture of the torn wrap and that they generally had no answer for it?

 

Come on they cant still explain the breaking of the wrapsatsch Good observation by Cottos team where you could see the same red dye taken away in the Mosley fight before he even enter the ring. Later tested and we know the story

Here is the thing, Capetillo to me is guilty of something don't what but he is, May not be boxing related but he defo has ran a traffic light or 2.

I agree w/Your point on the NSAC saying & protecting themself in this matter by washing their hands of it by saying everything is clean.

But like Margarito said in the faceoff, They (Commission) have the said "broken" wraps.
If it was a brick like most claim they would have kicked Margarito out of the sport & never looked back.

We will never know for sure, But whatever get's Cotto motivated for another beating I'm all for it. (Use this Miguel... Bring it to Tony)
