Cotto is not Hatton

Because of his characteristics, I think Cotto would be an easier fight for Floyd.

He doesn't have footspeed, he doesn't wrestle, and his chin isn't so good.

 

Floyd would beat Cotto but it would be a great fight

 

I love this fight, it has to happen.

 

cotto can set his work up better than ricky cos of his speed of punch.

I'd pick Hatton over Cotto, and I think that FLoyd would have less trouble handling Cotto than he did tonight.

Mayweather just beat the most ruthles, hard and tenacious fighter in boxing today. If he can out-brawl and out-hustle Hatton, he can beat Cotto. Cotto has great strength and great powershots, but guess what, so does Hatton, and Floyd has proved he can cope with that.

Exactly. IMO, Mayweather takes Cotto out EARLIER than he did Hatton.:yep

 

If course he is not Hatton, he won't be holding so much, thus allowing Floyd to rip shots at Cottos chin almost at will, Cotto will loose even quicker

 

Well you can't compare the two IMO simply because Hatton is not a Welterweight by an stretch of the imagination.

Cotto is a much, much better Welterweight than Hatton.

 

And Cotto's ability to cut the ring off is much greater than Hatton's.
