I was actually worried about this fight for Cotto as I know SSM is a great fighter, he showed he shouldn't be underrated by anyone including PBFM.

    No doubt.

Margarito has to have one of the biggest followings in boxing, while accomplishing nothing.

    I don't get it.

P.S.- Great post Shotgun, you and I have had debates over cotto, and I'm glad you manned up. Shows class.

Cotto got the better of Mosley in the 9th. And in the 10th, Cotto still landed big shots and made Mosley's head bounce around like a bobble head doll whenever his right hand landed.

Not really even though I believe it should've been a draw but let's be serious even though Shane is an all-time favorite for me, I know Shane's old and would've beaten Cotto if this happened a few years back but Cotto was still able to give Mosley a hell of a fight, if he was overrated he would've been dominated.

Cotto proved many things to me that night, one of them being he was alot better than I thought he was. I had no idea that he had speed that would trouble Mosley and was the faster man through alot of exchanges. I never knew he could walk through that many clean right hands from Mosley. I also didn't know he could also back up and land effective punches, and got the better of Shane alot of the time he was backing up. Its safe to say I underrated Cotto before this fight.

I have to agree with you... Shane also being one of my all time favorites... The first time I saw it I thought Shane barely won, but watched it again a day later and scored 115-114 for Cotto. If Cotto was only as good as I thought he was before the fight, Mosley would have knocked him out.

Cotto was not overrated then, and he is not overrated now.
