Cotto is not taking a patsy for his comeback fight!

I gurantee it will be Berto. He wont be fighting Clottley before AM that is for sure.

 

Berto is scheduled to fight Collazo or Malignaggi at 140 or a catch weight next. So it won't be Berto.

Either one woulnt be an easy fight. Id like to see what Berto can put up against Cotto.

 

Then he won't be fighting Clottley. His camp won't allow that to happen just yet. Too dangerous and too big especially after his first loss at the hands of Marg whom struggled against Josh.

 

:huh Berto would be ideal to be honest. Berto is right around Cotto's size...not like Clottley or Marg. And Berto isn't a "VOLUME" puncher. The fight with Berto is far less dangerous than Clottley and will give Cotto a better chance at looking spectacular against a young titlist to bounce back. Of course Berto could catch Cotto but I think Cotto's beard is more tested and proven than young Berto's at this stage in both men's careers. I see Berto getting KO'd.....if Cotto faces Clottley...I see Cotto geting KO'd by anther big WW.

 

Cotto vs Berto would be interesting mainly because to me at least, Berto is at where Cotto was before he got Quintana and Judah. Still a prospect sorrounded by question marks without a real tough challenge on his resume (at welterweight). It would be like watching the Cotto of 2005 against a more proven grizzled version of Cotto. Like an alternate universe fight.

I'd take Cotto by KO, probably on accumulation. Berto isn't quite ready for a Cotto style fighter..and Berto won't have the definitive size advantage over Miguel to really push Miguel.

Cotto v. Clottey?!?! Quit playin!

He ain't gonna fight Clottey. Cottey has a beard like Margarito, and with even better defense. Cotto will **** around and get his wig split ****in' wit Joshua Clottey. And Bob Arum knows Cotto has a much higher earning potential than Clottey, for cultural reasons. Too dangerous. He sacrificed his ass once with Margarito, but he ain't about to do that **** again this soon.

 

I actually think Cotto will fight Clottey and win an extremely close decision against him. Cotto likes a good challenge. Don't be surprised when he gets into a high risk/low reward fight like this...

I would not want to see Cotto go up against Berto. Not at this point, Cotto is not mentaly ready for another demanding fight.

Berto gots a serious left uppercut, fast and powerful. We know how the shot that Cotto dosn't defend well against is the upper cut. Thats what Pac used to drop him the second time. Margo rocked him nasty with the upper. Clottey and Zab were able to get Cottos attention by utilizing the upper as well.
