Calzaghe is not any kind of champion at LHW, he has the RING belt, whatever that is, nothing else.

From a stylistic standpoint, Mosley is still a tougher fight for Cotto than Mayweather because he brings greater physical strength and his harder to hurt than Mayweather. Mosley is also less susceptible to technical pressure than Floyd is. He can stand his ground and slug with Cotto, whereas Cotto would put Mayweather on the defensive. Mayweather, recently, has shown that when pressured behind a jab, he backs into the ropes where he picks his spots to counter. The jab alone with give him major problems, especially when you factor in the fact that it's fast, well-timed, accurate, and hard to counter with a right hand because he tucks his chin behind it. When Mayweather is on the ropes, Cotto would attack from different angles with fluid combinations to the body and the head. He'd outwork him and rough him up when Floyd languishes against the ropes.

    Bull****.

    1. We don't know if he stopped using his jab because of his conditioning. It is just a theory that you're using.

    2. Oscar always had conditioning problems. Even in 1999. His age wasn't important.

Show evidence (quotes, documents, etc) that Mayweather is ducking Cotto. :deal Thanks.

You've also said Vitali Klitschko is the most powerful boxer of all time and that Kelly Pavlik is the greatest middleweight of all time. Based on those statements, I attribute zero credibility to yourself. Please do me a favor: take your mouse, click on the 'Log Off' button, and never sign in again. Thanks.

Mayweather has never been hurt at any point throughout his career. Conversly Cotto has been hurt atleast a few times. You are analyzing Cotto's strenghts far more then you are his weaknesses. Cotto has been proven to have a less then stellar defense, he gets caught with shots constantly that he shouldnt be caught with. He sits on his punches and most of the time he's not even looking at what he's throwing. Torres, Corley, Judah, he leaves his chin exposed far too much. Even against Gomez it was apparent that he was caught multiple times flush, the only thing is Gomez couldnt hurt him. Judah was actually winning the early rounds against Cotto before Cotto low blowed him and Judah's obvious lack of ability to stay focused. Mosley is not nearly as fast as he once was, he was throwing flat footed, had virtually know lower mobility, and his punches were obviously slow, thus couldnt exploit Cotto's openings, but Mosley was still able to land the harder shots throughout the fight and was walking Cotto down towards the end when Cotto was obviously tiring.

You only base that off the De La Hoya fight, of which Mayweather had to respect the power of the left hook at 154. If you think Mayweather fights Cotto from the ropes your mistaken. Mayweather wont respect Cotto's speed or strength, he's not a big fighter and he's doesnt have a one punch KO, he wears you down through the fight and most of his KO's come later on. Thats why I say De La Hoya is a much tougher fight for Mayweather and De La Hoya would have a great shot at beating Cotto.

Mayweather being the king of 147 is like John Ruiz being the WBA champ after he won (lost) to Toney.

    From this list alone

    Mayweather is 1-0
    Cotto is 3-0 2KOs
    Mosley is 1-1
    Quintana is 1-1
    Williams is 1-1
    Margarito is 3-0 2KOs
    Judah is 0-2
    Bonsu is 0-0
    Cintron is 0-2

Just based on this list Cotto and Margarito stand out though it should be noted that Cotto beat 3 different fighters where as Margarito beat Cintron twice and Clottey.

On a side note, Andre Berto should replace Bonsu. But thats just my opinion.

I was impressed that he fought Judah when he didnt have to (Judah was coming off a loss to Baldomir) but right now he is clearly ducking Cotto.
