Yes, it is. Only PBF nuthuggers would disagree with me here, I believe. This was the perfect thread to catch some of them in the act, I thought.

Mayweather: Semi-retired fighter that has a shitty resume at 147.

So if Cotto beats his it won't mean much. Just a win over a semiretired fighter who had nothing to do at 147.

HOW CAN HE FIGHT FOR THE LINEAR TITLE IF MAYWEATHER IS NOT WILLING TO PUT IT UP AGAINST HIM?? (WHETHER IT BE BECAUSE OF $$, ARUM OR WHATEVER) HE HAS NOT FOUGHT ANYONE IN THE WELTERWEIGHT DIVISION IN ALMOST 2 YEARS....

As long as Mayweather is active in boxing ... he will always be the best of the welterweight division.

    He's the linear/universally recognized undisputed champion !!

He beat Baldomir who held that title and until he loses it he will forever be that.

Just like Joel Casamayor ... yeah Juan Diaz was racking up alphabet belts and was doing alot of good, but he wasn't the champion of the division ... he didn't beat Casamayor who beat the champion of the division ... the late Diego Corrales.

As long as Erdei is active in boxing...he will always be the best of the light heavyweight division.

    He's the linear/universally recognized undisputed champion !!

He beat Gonzales who held that title and until he loses it he will forever be that.

Just like Hopkins, RJJ, Tarver, Calzaghe, Dawson... yeah, they racked up alphabet belts and were doing alot of good, but they weren't the champions of the division ... they didn't beat Erdei who beat the champion of the division ...Gonzales.

Ha Ha ... the lineage is in the ring magazine belt ... not the WBO ... Gonzales lost to Woods ... how did he have that title when he never beat an elitist?

I find it very funny ... the linear champion is Calzaghe ... not the grossly protected Erdei ... who's not even that good ...

Gonzales also got blew out by RJJ ...

When did beating Oktay Urkal, Carlos Quintana, an already depleated Judah, Alphonso Gomez and a past his prime Mosley ... grant lineage? ... grants the true championship?

Those guys aren't in Mayweather's league ... those guys get beat worse by Mayweather.
