I know...but you know the old saying: in times of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act! :thumbsup
I have no doubt Cotto is one of thje finest fighter p4p in the world and has a fantastic remue at 147, better than Mayweathers at welterweight, but Floyd Mayweather is the champion and unti lhe is beaten or retires he will remain that way. For the record I think Floyd outboxes Cotto over 12.
He has retired. He only fights exhibition fights now. He doesn't fight WWs anymore. So, yeah...Cotto is the man and PBF has no chance to prove otherwise.
Cotto is not the man yet at 147, but if Floyd doesn't fight him after Oscar (assuming Cotto gets by Margarito) then the argument will get even stronger.
Nah...it's got nothing to do with PBF does. Only way PBF could become the man at 147 lbs is by beating the man - Cotto.
Cotto beat Quintana, Judah, Mosley, Gomez(yes im including gomez because he is just as skilled as baldomir), and soon on his list will be Margarito. Quintana Judah Mosley Gomez Margarito Quintana took care of Williams Margarito took care of Cintron Mosley took care of Collazo With wins over Quintana and Margarito there is no one for Cotto to fight other than B level Clottey who would get sacrificed if he ever stepped into the ring with Cotto. This my friends makes Cotto the man at 147lbs. If Floyd wants to be the man at 147lbs then he can challenge Cotto because a win over Margarito makes 147lbs the Boricua's division and well Cotto is accepting all challenges so when is Floyd going to get off cloud 9 open his big mouth for the fight and realize that the sport is moving on without him?
Yap...a businessman first, a fighter - second. People say: If only PBF fought Cotto!... But, really, it doesn't matter whether he does or not. Cotto is THE MAN on his own merits.
